Powerful Light, Dying Leaves

My light is so powerful, it is a 600watt HPS for such a little closet, 3 by 3 atleast, that I think it stunted my babies growth. Iv waited like a month and it hasnt even reached 3 inches, anywayss

I have observed that my little plant seems to be dying. The top leaves look pretty green, the ones below it are yellowing, and the older leaves at the bottom are dying completely. Shriveling up and browning. This hasant happened until later though. Throughout the month, Iv noticed yellowing on older leaves. Then all of a sudden, the leaves just started dying. Its gotta be my light, you could freaking tan under it!!!!!

If you don't ph your water they wont grow, simple as that.....That can be your cause for stunted growth

Get A fan and this shall sort your heat issue ffs.

Might be the water. You should let tap water sit for 24+ hours before using it so the choline would evaporate. And yes, distilled water is probably the best thing you can give your plants.

Or yeah, it might be the light, too close and it might be too hot for it.

Ventilation: You need an exhaust or else your just circulating hot air.

Feeding? Are you feeding it?

bubonic, if this is the plant problem section why take the piss if someone is having problems????? if you were having probs with your grow would you like help or someone to burn you too??? chill mate:joint:
BEEMAGZ, i have a 400w hps, heat is an issue. try venting it properly or try and buy/make one of those cool tubes, that will really cut down on your heat issues. good luck bro. :blsmoke:

if the top leaves arent burning then its probably not light from my understanding.. what are the temps? if you invested in a 600w hps you should have enough to invest in a good cannabis nute like foxfarm.. it could very well be the food your giving the plant

you got any pics

i had a similar issue with heat (if that is even the issue your having) and the only thing you can do is get a cooling hood for your light and pull the hot air from where it starts.. (via inline fan)... circulating a bunch of hot air within a closet isnt going to do AS much for you

Id say my lamp is somewhat 7 or 8 feet away from my single plant. Its just too much I think for my closet, You can literally tan under it lol

the dude has a 600w HPS in a tiny closet with one small fan. come on people.

you are cooking your plants. you need at least a 6" exhaust fan in there sucking all that hot air out and expelling it elsewhere.

this one was so easy.
