Pre Harvest Eve Pics

These pictures are the results of cuttings from a mother plant originally grown from seed around new years of 2010 that i've continued to perpetually grow.
A short run down,
Rooted cuttings were potted in two gallon perfect pots on May 17th to veg for just about six weeks, topping twice during veg.
June 24th they were put into flower.
August 27th the top buds will be harvested, 1-2 weeks later the rest of the plants.
Nine weeks total under 12/12 for the tops, ten to eleven weeks for the lower parts
of the plants.
This unknown strain reeks of skunky citirus during the later part of flowering. Once cured for two to three weeks, the buds smell of lavender, and the smoke is a blend of fruity citirus, with a taste reminding me of Fruity Pebbles.
Happy Growing All!

I use Fox Farms nutrients and soil, I also use Super Thrive, Cal-Mag, Molasses, and H2O2 at different points during flowering.
As far as yield, these plants will be harvested in two stages over the next two weeks,
two and a half ounces per plant would be a rough but fair estimate.

So at nine weeks the tops of this strain are best harvested. Here they are.
The top ten buds, taken with the remaining canopy shape in mind, so a few
buds were cut shorter to keep a more even canopy on the remaining bottoms.
The cut buds are very full, and very dense.
The bottoms will go back into the flower room for one to two weeks longer.
These buds will be submerged under water for three to four hours before
hanging to dry for six to seven days. Around day four I will start to trim
any green I don't plain on wanting to smoke, and prepairing the buds
for the start of curing.
These buds are the tops of the first two plants of a four plant perpetual grow. I will be harvesting the bottoms, as well as their two sisters in the same two part harvest over the next six saturdays.

These are two gallon pots, used to grow two to three foot tall bushes.
Just a small perpetual grow, I find that size fits my flowering and veg rooms best.

So far the tops of the first three plants dried to five and a half ounces.
I decided to let the bottoms of the first two plants continue to grow for three weeks instead of two
so they were cut last friday, they're hanging now, i'll start trimming those tomorrow, taking the very small fluffy
stuff and adding it to the hash pile. Looks to be two to three more ounces there. It depends on how much
I feel like trimming and how much I just hack off for hash.
The tops of the last plant were going to come off this saturday, but i've decided to let her grow one to two more weeks
for a more coma type smoke for sleepy time.
Finally, the bottom of the third plant is fattening up in flower, and since I let
the first two go three extra weeks, instead of cutting and hanging it this saturday, i'll do it next saturday.
I've got my last two cuttings of this strain in flower now. It's the end of almost two good years since I grew their mom from a seed.
I'm starting my next plants from seed as well, with the idea of finding good moms like these came from.
I've got Blueberry and Mango at eight days sprouted, and Juicy Fruit and Purple Widow seeds on the way.
It should be a good Christmas?
It's going to be a good 2012!
Happy growing all.

Ok, so my order arrived today.
I ordered from BCSeedKing, the blueberry and mango I have going now took six days to arrive, this order arrived in seven days.
When I placed the latest order, in the comment section I figured i'd ask for a few freebees and see what happens.
I ordered their Juicy Fruit and Purple Widow, and a few years ago I grew their Purps so I asked
them to throw in a few Purps for free.
To my surprise they gave me five free Purps seeds!
I wanted to let it be known,
Kudos to BCSeedKing. They're A#1 with me.

Why do you soak the buds in water for a few hours before drying? Does that help it to cure better?
I used to do it only on plants I was spraying different oils on for spider mites.
To sort of "wash" the buds. Now it's just a quirky habit I still stick to.

Ya man...I went and checked out that bcseedking...very nice deals. 15 beans for $60 is a great deal.
It got even better. After I posted my good luck with the free Purps, I counted the Juicy Fruit and Purple Widow. They gave me 18 of each, so I ordered a total of 30 seeds, and they gave me a total of 11 free seeds.

This is the final plant of the four I started harvesting last month.
She will be cut on saturday Oct 1.
Also pictured are the final two cuttings taken of this strain.
The cuttings were taken from the flowering plant while she
was in the final two weeks of veg.
I threw in a few shots of some of the seeds I started a few
weeks ago.
The Mango and Blueberry sprouted fourteen days ago.
The Purple Widow seedlings pictured are two days old.
