Premature weed giving headaches?

Hey guys,

So I sampled my plants for the first time. They are end of 9th week flowering and one of them is giving me a band sort of headache around my temples?

They are about 30% cloudy rest clear, tis a 12+ week plant.

Is this normal? Anyone got experience with this?

Cheers

my immature weed doesnt give me a headache but no matter how it cures its always harsh, ish, and coughing too much gives me a headache. i think if its a 12 week strain and you are the end of week 9 maybe push for an extra 2 weeks past the 12, 14 weeks total. ive never heard anyone say they regretted the extra 2 weeks..

that being said, i usually sample 2 weekish ahead of planned harvest and after letting the sample dry for a week (its important to dry it properly) until its smokeable i always end up going a little longer, at least a week or two.

Yeah it was rush dried, about 2 days, something about the chlorophyll? I dunno..

@MichiganMedGrower Yeah I had a vague memory of reading that somewhere. It was only 1 plant out of the 2 that gave me a headache, same strain just wildly different phenos.

Have you ever tried Kali Mist?

No never had it. I have a couple of s-1 seeds I acquired but have not planted one yet.

Different plants will mature at different rates like that.

Cannabinoids have not had a chance to turn desirable yet but this come with cure.

This is not neccesarily true. They mature some while drying but if the plant is cut too early there are no psychoactive components to mature.

Clear trichomes with underdeveloped heads only have precursors.

Clear with full round heads standing tall are likely full of thc. Once they go cloudy they are peaked and starting to degrade in potency. Brown and dented trichs are past good.

And the other canabanoids need the time to finish as well.

I couldn't recommend a better daytime smoke. If you ever do grow it I'd love to see how you approach it. It's the only strain im interested in lol

Definitely, Peppers, the sativa pheno is about 2-3 weeks behind the indica pheno :)

from my understanding its the sugars in the chlorophyll that make headaches

same as if you eat raw weed and escape the tummy pains

you still get the head pains later ...lol

try toking just the water leaves...? / citation needed

good luck

That’s good to know. It was rush dried so hopefully finished product is a bit better!
