So, I'm not attacking all people from colorado, but I have come across quite a few Coloradans that think their pot is the only shit worth smoking. I had to share this, tonight my girlfriend was hanging out with her friend and this guy that is from colorado. My gf packed a bowl and he refused to smoke it because it was inferior to his colorado buds, then he claimed that his pot was 60% THC. When she told me I cracked up, and told her I wish I could have been there so I could inform that 60% THC isn't possible. I just hate it when people think that because they live in states with medical marijuana that by default they are pot experts. I love shutting these people up by getting them super stoned from my home grown, it never fails, and they're so dumbfounded that there could be good pot somewhere that isn't out west.

Definitely met my fair share man, a lot of the older generation (30+) stuck in their ways IME. Don't get me wrong experience is directly correlated with dank buds, but if someone grows the same mediocre buds that get you stoned for 10 years, they think their shit stinks more than others... :D

To add to this, brought an old hookup some of his genetics I grew under dual spectrum, took me til harvest to get him to put some blue in the bloom room. :bigjoint:

You should experience the shit I used to go through before I decide people were just too damn dumb to be around on a regular basis.. Southern California, yep, I know exactly what you mean.

I've had some weed from Arkansas when I was out of my supply and desperate, it was horrible. Brown, worse than the worst schwag you've ever seen. But I smoked it, I smoked it and got stoned and was happy as fuck!

California bud is noticeably superior to that Arkansas bud I tried those few times, but perhaps there's superior bud elsewhere in Arkansas that I never tried, a totally realistic possibility. People like that are dummies. I'm in total agreement.

i guess you guys are talking about the genetics available in these regions?? ...... because i can't understand how weed grown a tent/cabinet/room in colorado could be any better then anywhere else? its just not logical
and thats something else ... i don't understand the need to keep looking for the ultimate genes .... i'm happy with whats out there already.... why is there a quest for the holy grail of cannabis?

Lol @ you. Older generation 30+???? Who do you think is breeding all the great strains, teenagers and kids right out of high school? How old do you think Sub or the guys from DNA are? How about Chemdawg? Or if you're a greenhouse man, how old do you think Arjan and Franco are? Lol.

I've learned just to hold my tongue and laugh at these types of people. Unless it's so farfetched that I have to say something. Like that 60% THC, "So what you're telling me Mr. Colorado, is that your buds (plant material and all) is 60% THC... So more than half of the total plant is THC?" Bahahaha, I feel like all the girls there would have laughed so hard in his face.

It's my 5 year plan, to get to a point where I can start breeding for real...Cubing strains and locking down traits...I'm on the search for the holy grail, and I intend to live my life doing just that.

There is this bar that the night nurses frequent, my bff is a night nurse and goes there. We decided to have a get together for something other than alcohol.

My smoke doesn't have a name. It's just good. They didn't want to smoke it because they were dicks and it wasn't a name brand, so to speak. So I presented them some brownies and they partook. I warned them, but it's no name weed so no worries. They ate 2 to 3 a piece, I warned them. 3 out of 5 called in sick for work because they were too high to do their job.

They were pissed. Was I supposed to tell them it was creeper?

Thanks for pointing out that good strains come from people who have been breeding for longer than i've been on this earth. I'm talking about people who are stuck in there ways, unable to see what other people bring to the table, being young, when someone claims something opposite to what i see as true, i will go off and prove either point and attempt to back it up with proven truth, as with the experience i have, i can always be wrong. The few local growers who were willing to share insight and garden with me have given me tips that were straight wrong, and when i went on to tell them this, they told me to fuck off because they've been doing it for years with excellent results...

Yep my OP says the whole older generation of growers has no idea what they are doing. read homie. :finger:

I don't know him personally, but one of my buddies gets pot from a friend of his family who's in his 60's and has been growing for quite some time. I bought some once and it harvested just a little too early, it looked great but zero amber trichomes and maybe 30% cloudy. I've told my friend several times to maybe nicely suggest that he let the plants go a little longer, but he is definitely set in his ways. His pot isn't bad by any means, but It makes me sad to smoke pot that I know hasn't fulfilled it's potential.

i've come across a couple of lets say season'd growers that have some funny ways about them.... i know one who still can't sex his plants after decades... getting advise from folks who think they know is fatal
its all about what you find out, there are loads of things i'd like to try out now i have a little experience myself and i've gained ideas from people and grows i've seen. but i would'nt say to anyone this is right and this is wrong, especially if i hadn't even done it before myself

Actually, what you should have done was convince them to eat 4-5 each, watch all 5 call in sick, then laugh in their ignorant dip-shit faces. I don't understand people that can't recognize quality stuff just because someone didn't attach some dumbass name to it.

I don't want any more than a couple amber trichs. Amber trichs = degraded thc. That seems to be the trend with young people that are ill informed. I hear some people say 50% amber trichs is good. lmao. Once I start seeing amber it gets the chop. There are idiots of all ages, some older people are indeed lost in the hippie folklore ways of growing pot.
