Prevent backyard theft

Its been almost 4 years now since Canada legalized weed and in Ontario you're allowed to grow 4 plants. Last year someone stole our plants, so this year I've installed a motion light camera.

What else can I do to prevent theft this year in my backyard? We have a fence too, but I'm thinking of some kind of wiring.

Any tips?

Yikes,Id suspect these thugs got quite a few with outdoor being popular.Im in Southern AB so the climate is not ideal so not much of a problem.

I know it sucks but the best way is to tent out for the last 30 days in the yard with a dog.

There are ir tripwire doorbells for sale. I've had a couple of plants ripped too. Not fun. We got a motion activated spotlight cam for our place. I lobbied for a dog but was overruled by the gf and the cat.
Your dog doesn't bark seeing strangers in your yard?

The dark barks at everything if we leave her outside alone at night.

I meant if she sees them through a window, or hears them out there. My neighbour's dogs barked at anyone they saw, and even barked at me if I went out into my backyard at night, and they couldn't see me through the fence, they just heard me.

I almost caught the little bastard that stole mine...i heard him and took off on my car to catch him....then he was 6 feet away from me and i missed him by that much !

He evaded death itself and he knew it....It would have sucked if i had of just had another 4 inches to grab that bag...

So next year...i keep a bag of fist sized potatos in the car....because if i catch up to a ripper he is going to feel potato like fastballs knocking him off his bike.

Gaf on a hook is made.

Motion UV cameras and deterrant traps with warnings... AND I am going to grow a hemp plant and spray the crap out of it with neem every week.

The game is a foot.
