Try 24" & if plants look happy in a week go lower if not then raise the lights.

Is ur plant canopy 5 x 5 x 2 foot deep:confused:
Hmm I may have to dim one of the kits then as the blue cheese is wayyy taller and I'd be pushing to get 20 inches distance, with the kit at the top of the tent.
I'm not sure on feet dude I'm an Aussie so run on metrics haha, the tent is 1.5x1.5x2m I'll take some pics in a minute, using my backup brick phone so you'll have to excuse the pic quality lol

Been a busy day... got a heater in there and now at 25c even though its 8c outside lol.
Raised all the kits and the kit thats thats over the blue cheese I dimmed it 1/4 of a turn.
Got my phone fixed to and managed to get some better pics... ill get some lights off pics later tonight. The white stuff ontop of the coco is "gnat nix" , i live right next to a lake and constantly battle the little fu#kers haha.

@Unsinkableship420 nice stalks & how long was veg?
Cheers mate, um i dont really keep track of veg time dude.
id say at least 8 weeks maybe more.... i have a dedicated veg tent with a few mothers i keep and I am always starting new strains.
Just popped 2 hso choc mint og and 2 dark ghost by rare dankness... theyll be next in the 5x5 id say.
Ive got 2 more incredible bulk clones in veg under the 550 in my 4x4.
I really need to get this led stuff down pat asap lol.... my hps setup ran like clockwork, i feel lile a complete noob again lol especially reading some of the threads in here. A lot of you guys really know your shit!!

Thanks for the replays guys, much appreciated. Ok so I flushed the build up last night , adjusted my calmag to 0.4 ec and dropped back to 1ml per L on the a+b , put me at 1.0 ec . also took the mid day fed off the timer... So now fed once an hr after lights on and once an hr before lights off . I'll have to look at a heater to raise the lights on temps... Just coming into spring so its still cold ,outside temps. With regards to raising or dimming the lights, I queried this on another thread and was shot down in a ball of flames lol.... Apparently I'd be wasting all my light on the walls.... Haha what a member on here told me anyway...Distance from light to canopy is 16-18 inches atm... Should I raise them more?? Man I never thought changing my lights would completely change everything....
I use full spectrum 300W led and my light is stting at 18 inches from the canopy - I had some little issues with it lower than that.

Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Good luck!

With LED I have had the same problem. For the first time i need more of a nute than it calls for. I run it about 3 ml per gallon and i could probably go more. I use RO water and coco and have led so its a triple whammy of calmag deficiency.

Looking good mate, it's amazing how much LEDs change the grow. I went from a 400w hps to a 400w led because my summer temps where getting a bit high (also an Aussie) and ended up losing a whole grow in the cooler months before learning about evaporation and leaf temperature and all that other wonderful stuff.

What brand of coco are you using? I've never grown Coco and have been told different things about what to buy and where to get it...

Canna pro plus dude then mix perlite in to it. Yeah mate its definitely been a learning curve going from 2400w of hps to 1390w of leds.....

Higher temps will keep them drinking and transpiring . I feed sometimes 7-8 times a day in coco. But, if they’re not “photosynthesizing” they won’t drink it. Don’t flush the coco. Maybe at the end of bloom only.

I like to keep it at about 28 degrees Celsius. (Low 80’s Fahrenheit)

Good luck with your garden.

Yeah like others have said plants seem to like more calcium and/or magnesium when growing with led's.
I have seen over watered plants in coco first hand. It is possible, just rare.
Thanks to advice from RIU members I always gun for 27c as a min lights on temp. I see a huge improvement in growth when my grow space is around 27-30c.
For the record though I think increasing calmag was the right call.

So got some lights off pics.... they look way over loaded on N??
Again doing nothing different from my previous grows... usually hitting 3lb + from the 5x5 with 2 600 hps, in fact id usually be feeding between 1.5 to 1.7ec by now.
I dropped the res ec back to 0.9ec last night and also halved the morning feed from 2 mins to 1 min.... temps with lights on will be 25c min now with the heater running. Checked this morning with lights off was 14c.... Wait and see i guess lol

Maybe very slightly over fed but not anything that is going to cost you significantly in yield, in my opinion at least. As I said before I think increasing the calmag dosage was the right way to go. Going out on a limb here but I thought it looked like a slight mag deficiency.

Providing you can nurse them through till harvest date in the same health state they are in now I suspect you are going to be very happy.

The only thing I would suggest going forward is maybe get a bigger heater to keep the ladies warmer at lights on & possibly lights off.

I seem to remember reading something about cannabis not liking temperatures below 18c in flower during lights on or off. Memory isn’t what it used to be so could be wrong.

That said your ladies look pretty happy in the photos you attached.

Thanks dude , i really appreciate the advise and replys from you and everyone else.
Yeah i went and got a heater yesterday its nice and toasty 27c out there at the moment.... im like a month or 2 away from the hot Australian weather starting, so im hoping my next few grows will be a lot easier to manage , environment wise.

Im going to get a reverse cycle in my lung room for next winter , will be much more efficient than the oil heater i have now lol.

Haha yeah dude im very happy already. i can see how good these quantum boards are, even with me stumbling my way through the last and this current grow. Up until the last week when the blue cheese had issues... ive just been amazed how the plants respond to them.

I didn’t realise is stayed cold till this point in the year in Aus. You’ll probably swing from to cold to, to hot when the weather changes. Murphy’s law.

Yeah LED’s are a game change really. They just save you so much electricity which really matters in some countries. In the UK we literally get dragged over the coals by our “energy suppliers” so any saving you can make on wattage makes a huge difference to your running costs.

I would say good luck with your grow but from your photos I don’t think you need it. Top work fella

Yeah mate were just coming into spring now , but im on the west coast so we get a lot harsher winters than the eastern state's.
And same here mate we get raped by our one and only energy supplier here!! Was the main reason, along side heat in the warmer months, that made me switch to leds.
Haha i actually almost bought a timber cob fixture for the 5x5 but they wouldnt/couldn't ship it to me here in aus... then i stumbled across growmau5 and GML's videos repping qbs. Growmau5's quantum canopy build was enough to convince me to try quantum boards in the end. Really glad i did!!

Yeah, my sister tried to go the Timber route but they wouldn’t ship to the UK. I think they must have had some bad experiences with international shipping.

I think a lot of people got onto LED’s because of Growmaus video’s. I’ve got the old cxb’s & a small Samsung strip build as well. Quantum’s & strips are where it’s at these days.

Loads of info on both on RIU & fortunately quite a lot of people also willing to help & breakdown some of the science into layman’s terms. Happy growing pal
