Producing extra THC

When cleaning up the space for my new grow area i came across a bulb i had for a vivarium i had ( for those of you who dont know what that is, its basically a little garden inside a tank) when i had a fish tank i had natural plants growing in their so i had to get a florasun bulb

Zoo Med Flora Sun Max Plant Growth is ideal for planted aquariums, terrariums as well as marine reef aquarium. Zoo Med Flora Sun Max Plant Growth light bulb promotes healthy plants and fish while enhancing their natural colors.

Long lasting - Effective for up to 10,000 hours.
Emission spectrum closely matches absorption curve of chlorophyl-a, promoting maximum photosynthesis.
5000K high intensity lamp with peak emissions in the blue and red regions to maximize the photobiological processes in plants.
15 watts
and then i came to thinking about my beared dragon and how it uses UVB to mimic the sun as much as possible, thats when i came across a article about how UVB actually increases THC production.

So now im thinking about mixing some cfl's with a uvb and a couple spectrum bulbs (the fish tank ones)

Anyone have experience with this, its told to give you more potent marijuana

be careful though man those uvb bulbs are strong. they can burn your plants quite easily expecially in a small area. i think of them as like an add on you know. like those crazy bloom boosters and stuff, could work in the right hands but in the wrong could be devastating.

I think your confusing it with the uv in like tanning beds, their actually not strong at all and the more the better, they just cant be over 1 plant for too long, so like 8 hours a day is good, i read the difference is very noticable. but like you said you cant just leave it on otherwise it can destroy your plants. they dont produce any more heat then a cfl will.

ill try it out once i get this grow setup and let you know how it goes. seeds are on their way and i have to build it so ill probably start actually growing in april, but until then im just researching and getting everything planned and the equipment i need.

hell ya man. i've read somewhere that people use those lights for only like 2 hours in the middle of the light cycle to mimic the high uv rays that the sun puts out in the middle of the day.
