producing females from seed

does anyone have experience they can share as to the ideal conditions a new seed popping needs to be given the best chance to become a girl many thanks in advance

Its in the genes

I usually do a sort of rain-dance/irish jig around the plant and repeat for each and every plant. Works every time--all females.

I found a great success rate with "vibeing" my water. With new seeds I chant "girl" or "female" or something to that effect over and over again while watering my plants until they show their sex. I feel it works but this is not a scientific study, ha. I also write "female" on the water container.

put seeds in a bag with green bananas and leave there until bananas turn brown

Buy feminized seeds

use budwise apply just before flowering follow directions on the bottle works 99.9% of the time once you have female just take cuttings, budwise is expensive $50 for 50ml but works extremely well!!! good luck!

So Killa, I tried to Google "budwise" for cannabis plant and nothing came up, just stuff about Budweiser Beer. What exactly is the name of this stuff and is it sold in most grow stores, because I can't find it online? Thanks

Funny thing is i did read this and if you want i can pull post up telling you what i said seems like you have a bad memory.
You were the one saying high nitrogen inn the first weeks at seedling stage...Who the fuck feeds seedlings unless they want burnt plants..
I said i read where people stated sex is determined by the looks of the seeds i never said i believed it idiot..Do you need me to quote it????

I am not new to this just don't post as much as you guy's but this is indeed fact!
If you don't believe me try it what would it hurt you will thank me later!
Veg with a light with lots of blue have cool temps eg 68 70 and feed high Nitrogen fert you will be surprised If ya follow all this it is not uncommon to have 90% female ratio's!

Sex from regular seeds is from environmental conditions not the seeds young seedlings can be either sex it is determined by a few factors!
More blue light promotes females!
Hight nitrogen promotes females!
Cooler temps promote females!

This is of coarse all in the first three weeks of growth from seed!
So when someone says so in so's bean's have lots of males they just don't know enough about beans!
If you follow those three rule's you will have very high female ratio's from anyone's beans!!!!!

You have no idea do ya if you raise the ratios of nitrogen in young plants you will not kill them hell I use this formula to root cuttings just a weak solution, just because the ratio is higher does not mean you need it strong enough to kill young plants!
You must not know much about fert at all as to me this is very easy to understand it is to bad you are so close minded you seem smart enough to be a good grower some day lol!

High nitrogen does not mean a 1300 ppm solution it just means the ratio of the solution duh!
Cool temps and blue light just put it all together best ya can and you will get higher ratios of females I have done it and don't have to ask hobbes for advice!

i know that there is an article in the growers bible by jorje cerventes about getting a better ration of females from seed.. i think one of them is fewer hours of light during veg, and i can't remember the other two or three of them..

opps.. forgot to say that i also found this lil article as well... it mentions something about how many plants are in a space, nuits and length and intensity of lights used..

i've heard you want it warm not dark. i've also heard it's genetic and doesn't matter. everyone's got an opinion, i've even spouted out many of my own. on this one, i don't even know any more... used to think it was all genetic, but with recent personal research...
if it isn't locked in genetically to begin with, than i believe warmer environments will yield more females, this is based on nothing more than me popping off seed packs in cooler environments and getting mostly males.
but like i said, i don't really know. it seems to be a highly debated issue though
