Progrowtech EV700 vs Fluence Spydr 2x

A MAJOR problem I see with the ProGrow is the same problem Nick had back when he owned BML (at least for small home growers), and that is selling a separate light for veg another for bloom. I approached NIck telling him I could help him develop a single fixture to do both. I didn't get what I wanted BUT it works great to this day some 5 years later

I’m definitely interested and I’m comfortable working with Meanwell type drivers and wiring boards/strips. I also am a lot less handy than I WANT to be... but I guess you gotta start somewhere! I’ll take a look.
Bro,trust me,if i can do it, you can too lol

I couldve built my lights even easier but chose more strips and created more wiring / work.

Those bxeb gen 3s look good, im using the sol strips 90 cri j series from Cutter, they are doing well for me so far and are priced decently. Cant go wrong with the samsungs either.

Wow!
6 bars crowded together on 2 connected frame modules. I know, it's overkill for a small 4x 2,5' area but what shall I do? I've won it! Luckily it has a dimmer, lol!

I do really like that spectrum too & its a bit different then i had imagined. I know the colors show more to the eye when its dimmed but i get the idea.
Mega Flowering spectrum there dude! Hell yeah! 1 on each side? Only if those 2 were on a separate dimmer/channel hu?
Maybe not, you'll be needing to dim her down quite a bit anyways prob intill the plants can take it all from everywhere.
Caution: they get BIG FAST cuz its hitting them at equal amounts from every upper angle. Thats soooo cool bro.!
Plants ready?
Here's some from last night before lights on & after.
Bars Away Baby!
Sonic Fly #120190719_180132.jpg SonicFly #2 20190719_175914.jpg smaller FuelBomb in from there then its the x2 SonicFlys. 20190719_180015.jpg Not sure if im cranked that high here but am running @ 100w a bar. 20190719_202534.jpg These girls came in a bit hurting & yellowing. Been eliminating the soil bug (think its the Infamous root Aphid). Terrible lil fuckers i tell you. No wonder T-Drops (made for fungus gnats) wasnt working. Greening up now. 20190719_202445.jpg To the OP, any of these Bar lights you get are gonna be better then the smaller packaged previous cased fixtures if you're trying to cover an area with the most iniformity. Plus they are all competing very closely as far as components & efficiencies for the most part.
Next question i ask myself is what sets them apart from each other.
I recommend doing it on paper so you can actually look at what you jotted down.
Then compare what you're thinking about getting to your budget, what you'll be using it for & how necessary is this or that option (especially if it cost more). And of course, last but not least, your expectations?.
The Gavita is a nice super light weight fixture prob good in a minimal duty tent.
(I dont like the plastic/acrylics maybe) covers, they always fade. Thermal mngmt is week imo. New to led just copying & hoping fir the best. My 2 cents might be worth only that to you but it is what it is.
The Fluences are suspect to me but are still head of the mkt as far as bar light sales go. I dont know enough about them except i see Osram owning them as opportunity to decrease quality while everyone is boasting about them having access to the highest bins. Yeah, they also have access to the the brightest lowest bins too. With testing equipment to manage it. Dunno tho. Growers seam to like them (hearing about up to 2# grows) except while at the local Grow Stores, growers come in complaining about Defficencies & are given a bottle of Mag-Amp upon purchase.
I've sat there fir hours discussing this topic with other growers.
The EV-700 Looks nice with all that pink clolr paint & what, x10 bars? Thats cool!
But whats the system efficiency? What diodes n drivers? Saw this when it first came out.
I feel you can get much more for your money on that one & will they be around to honor their warranty??? I dunno! Only the Top-Dawgs are gonna last in this Bar Game .
Peep the Amare man. The new website isn't ready yet to give most details but myself, a few growers here & the owner can help you i you're interested.
25% RIU Discount too.
Goodluck Bud!

2.5 μmol/J
Nice enough!
Now take what you're trying to accomplish into consideration. Do you need flexibility or just a fixture over a 4x4? Results matter. Spectrums on those too you picked are similar right?
Fluence 2x is the older model? Same efficiency then , no?
