This little girl is supposed to be wedding cake from a bag I had. Was the only seed.

She is currently:
2 weeks old
Under 90 watts of swirly bulbs (150W equivalent)

In ProMix with a lil more perlite mixed in for good measure

Being fed GH Flora Series w/CalMag in distilled water pH'd at right about 6 using this chart
MEME2020-04-11-03-49-33~2.jpg

She's pretty happy!

Transplanted today. It was pretty thirsty. It'll veg out here for a bit.

Gave it a good drink with some food (6.2 pH & 440ppm).

My SF1000 got here a day early (OMG!!).

I haven't fired it up yet. I'm gonna let the lil plant adjust to it's new container then light it up. The suspense is killing me.

I got this little gadget the other day also. It had mixed reviews, but seemed decent.

Seems accurate and I like that I can clip it to my mixing jug while adjusting pH.

So far so good.

Fired this thing up too

I have it at 20". I have no exp with this light so idk if I should go to 18" or what. I reckon I'll see how it reacts at 20" for now and go from there.

Edit: I decided 18" is where it needs to be.

Thanks for the compliments y'all. First time with ProMix... soil till now. I always fuck them up somehow, but I've ended up with a couple lids each time. So any advice is MORE than welcomed.

I know I need to start monitoring my run-off pH. I've heard about adding lime to ProMix, but I figure 3-4 months will be ok without the extra. I could be wrong, but that's how learning happens.

Week 4. I was watering today and noticed this little guy

Never seen preflower this early. Could it just be showing early? Could it be an auto?

Week 5. Moved her to her final pot. I should have topped her. I may run into a height problem.

I'm going to add my two Bloomspects. I like this SF, but it seems too dark toward the bottom for my liking.

On a side note, this girl doesn't like the light more than 16" high. She stretched way too much at 18".

Going on week 6.
As I figured, I ran out of vertical room (I have GOT to get a bigger tent), so I topped it today

Week 7. Began the switch to flower. Went to 15 on last nite. Gonna hit 14 Tonite then 13 and then 12 respectively.

I didn't add the Bloomspects. I'm quite happy with this SF light.

Anyway...

I used to do the same as you with the gh nutes and extra perlite. Worked great. Switched to promix with ewc, perlite and biolive last grow. It is a great base medium.

any particular reason for the distilled water? is your tap water bad?
It ain't real bad, but I've had problems with every grow using it. Most of them came from pH issues. It's tests at 8.5 pH and if I remember correctly around 150 ppm.

The distilled I get tests pretty consistently at 6.0 and 0 ppm. It's only $.79 per gallon, and I know that only what I add to it is in it.

Hmm, that is interesting, not bad tap water by most standards. however, the breakdown of what is in those 150ppm's will tell the tale, perhaps something is in it that does cause issues for you. local water district report may have some info to review. ph is pretty typical, but your nutrients will bring it down.

you'll be ok though with your GH flora and cal mag with distilled water, finish strong my man!

I wish I would have topped it alot sooner. I could have had a full canopy. Stretchy little thing tho.
