Pruning in stretch

I just switched to 12-12 two days ago almost overnight my plants shot up about two inches. My problem tho is the leaves are growing just as fast. Is it ok to prune while the plant is stretching? Or should I wait till it’s finished. Either that or I might have to get rid of one of these plants.

If stretch is a problem, keep the night time temp same as day. Transplant just before flip & remove a few fans on the stocks that are stretching . Theses will all so down stretching.

They are in their final containers and I’ve already flipped. I want them to grow up, it’s the width that’s the problem. But if cutting them is gunna stop them from growing I don’t want that.

Then prune to accommodate them in your space ,

Could add a net to help train also .

I guess it's a trade off, pruning will have some slowing effect but if you have more plants at the end then it should off set it. That will depend on how extreme you have to prune or bend. I'd argue the sooner you do it the better, since you are doing it before flowers start setting. Some people do a little bit every day, others all at once, I can't really say for sure if one way is right. Personally I'd get it over with so long as it's not a huge amount, I can't really help you define a huge amount though, sorry. All I can say is that some leaf over lap of the upper most canopy is fine with good air circulation, so don't go nutz. I also tend to think upper over lap discourages lower leaves/branches packing on, as they block lower canopy light.

I should add, the over lap should not be insane, maybe upto 10/15% over most of the top leaves, with some here and there at more or less, inevitably. But that's my guess values, pinch of salt.
