Pruning...& When to.

Hey y'all,

I'm just about to drop my feeder leaves ( start of week 4 ) and the first two leaves that grow off the steam turned rather yellow from overwatering and/or overheating AND/or nitrogen deficiency. Either way the rest of the plant is very healthy and thriving, new growth also. However :roll:
Can I cut the yellow leaves off ? " Pruning, if you will. " It just looks like the (2 first) leaves are dying and I don't want the plant spending energy on them if it's a useless cause. Can someone tell me if it's safe to rip / snip / tear off those (2) leaves ? If so can I bury the steam a little deeper after too ?

*Pictures included*

Thank you in advance.:peace::leaf:

yeah its safe to cut them off just clean the blades before hand. i usually just wait until the entire leaf is dead so i can just easily pull it off whole instead of leaving a bit of the branch. on burying it is up to you i usually just leave them
