Well guys its the 2 week mark of my little Jems and they are doing well. Temps are 76.2 like normal and my RH has been between 50-60% so i have no complaints. As you will see in the pics neither do the plants. Also got there first round of nutes @ 1/4 dose. The shots are cheap today as i didnt have time to edit the ones i took last night with the d3000, ill post those later tonight for you guys. These are to just get you through.

So tonight i go to take a few shots of my jems for you guys and clean my cool tube and i find a nice little surprise. Today i can sex not one but both jems.....Loving the fact that both have shown at this stage. I see breeding in my future.

The female you can see slight purple coming in on her top, its just a touch but its there.

Temps are still at 76.2 and the RH is right in the 50's

I have fed only one time with 1/4 nutes and they took it well. The feeding has been over 24 hours ago.

The one thing that i have a question about is should i go ahead and trade out to the HPS bulb. I am new to autos and was wondering if i should do the switch now or wait till week three. My gut is telling me to go ahead and do it now so flowering can kick in better but the other side of me wants to wait till i see more flowers. Any tip on this from you Vet auto growers is much appreciated.

Also you can see that early resin production is going on in both male and female plants, i was rather please to see this.

Do you use white vinegar to lower your ph?

Not to be rude but if you are going to post plant problems in my thread this will be your last. This is my journal log for my jems. there is a dedicated forum for plant issues.

And no i dont use vinegar, i got get the legit stuff

I wouldn't switch to bloom bulbs at all. Ive grown many strains and found that the full sun spectrum works best and I always run my lights on 20/4

I feel ya dude, i dont mean to be an ass or answer questions, just dont like others to post there issues in my journal. I love to spread knowledge but i also understand respect too. Oh well

Nice, although have you ever used a HPS bulb? Only reason i ask is to be able to compare results between the two. I have been trying to give them exactly what they need the entire grow and its paid off thus far. I have been running 18/6 and i think i may try the 20/4 next go just to see. I switched over to the hortilux bulb today to see what happens. I can tell you that the light coming of this thing now is 2 times brighter than that 250watt MH conversion bulb night and day difference. Also i have switched out the side flouros to 3200 k from 6500k to get some side lighting in there too.

That sounds good. No, I have never used any HID lighting be for. I actually use a fluorescent fixture with HO T5 lights. The fixture holds 8 bulbs with 432w. I've really been thinking about the HID though. Well man I can't wait for more so I may follow.

I don't know if you have ever seen an auto grown with veg lighting from seedling to harvest or not. But this is an auto Short Stuff Russian Rocket Fuel. I harvested her right after the pic. After drying, curing, and removing most of the stems, I got 2.23oz off her. I'm not saying to change anything your doing, I just wanted to show you.

Nice and this is what i like proof of the results. most will say things and not back them so +rep to you dude.

Thats a nice yeild on that thing too quite impressive to be honest. I used to grow with cfl's and HO t5's now i have the MH/HPS with 2 4foot HO t5's on the sides. And yeah stick around for the finish, a few others have not been back in for a while

Thankx man I appreciate the rep. Believe me, I anit going no where. I got to see your final result. Like I said, this grow of yours may just get me into those HID lights.

glad to have you aboard. I am excited my self to see what this HPS will do over the flouros i used to run.

My avatar is my first set up with one plant.....that was in an aerogarden........
