purple stems

what causes the stem to turn purple?

Alot of the time that is caused by a nute deficiency.

and cold temps. occasionally it's due to the strain.

Whats the best way to stop it usually happens to me when i get into the seedling stage, usually goes away in about 1 monthin a half

sounds normal to me

The stem is pretty much always purple when it's a seedling.

i'm growing numerous strains. my temp never gets below 60. all my stems are purple no matter what i do.

I have purple stems as well...

dang it if my leaves aren't purple either. and a few other colors.

yeah they grew fine and stuff i just didnt know if you could make them be green seems like that would be healthier but i was just guessing..

are you using flourecents if so that will do it or cool temps

purple stems usually indicate to much water.the stem is a vein sucking up water if its also floppy then its too much water.you want green stems with a light striping of red veins.
