Phosphorus deficiency can cause it as well. Or as stated, some strains have naturally red or purple stems.

If it has really stunted, you may look at adding some.

ive had red lines in my stems for almost 3 years on all my strains. mine is due to the colder temps (average 71-75 daily lights on or off temps)

What was your light cycle before and why did you change it?
my veg and mom rooms are all on same timer and i have my rooting domes in there. i had an issue where i was getting lots of mold in my domes and was told switching the lights to 24/7 should help with that

I always noticed when stems started turning purple they wanted something and that was nitrogen in the form of musky fish mix. Some stems start out purple just after germination but turn green again i have noticed. Also heard of potassium defieciancy. Good luck sg

I'm thinking it's genetics. Deficiency will usually show up in leaves first. I'm guessing this is your first time growing this strain. Pictures would help.

I was having issues with mold. Over watering can play a big part. Even if your not over watering humidity can easily become out of control. Contrary to belief (lots of different types of cannabis) most cannabis don't like the extreme humidity. Growing indoors your going to need a dehumidifier. And if your growing in a dome it's probably trapping to much moisture.
