Q about Nutes - Especially with multiple plants?

I'm beginning to think a perpetual setup may not be that suitable for bubbleponics.

Reason being, if I have 1 plant at sproutling, 1 at 4 wks, 1 at 8wks, and one at 12wks, so I can harvest every 4 weeks, BUT, not all plants require the same nutes/amt of nutes at the same time. But if they share a single res, they get the same nutes/amt, right?

:(

Any thoughts on this??

yeah thats a tricky situation you got yourself into, those in flowering obviously need different nutes than in veg, so you would have to have a bunch of setups, and be able to switch the plants individually to the nutes they need.

would be prepetual if you got a couple more plants staggered like that... that would be sweet. you just need a vegging and flowering res and could switch them over when the time came.

But they also need different light at different times, don't they?

Nahh, I plan to grow 12/12 non-stop. No veg. I'm trying to KISS and I explicitly do NOT want veg time as then my plants get too big. :)

So speaking of that, if I am flowering 100% of the time, from sproutling to harvest, then do I really need to have DIFFERENT nutes??

I'm thinking for sprouts I might want different nute STRENGTHS but I can hand-feed those as needed.

Also, if I am 12/12 100% of the time from sprout to harvest, do I need all 3 of the nutrient formulas (micro, grow, bloom) or just micro and bloom or what??

Thanks!

ps. I realize when/if I do clones, I'll need 18/6 or 24/0 as 12/12 won't let the roots grow.

You can grow an indoor plant at 12/12. However not a marijuana plant, well you can, but it will 99% likely herm or male. When that sprout is visible, it needs to be on a 18/6 or 24 hour light cycle. You always start a plant out in veg cycle, then to flower after the plant has the 3rd or 4th node...Controlling growth is done by genetics, lights, nutrients, and other methods.

So speaking of that, if I am flowering 100% of the time, from sproutling to harvest, then do I really need to have DIFFERENT nutes??

This will no longer be a concern cause you are need to use certain nutrients for veg and then certain nutes for bloom.

The rest of what you wrote won't apply. You really need to start in veg then you grow to bloom. Think about it this way, we all would never start in bloom if you could just grow from bloom right? Why bother with the vegetative state we all start with?

My last soil plant was grown 12/12 from a seed. It turned out fine (except for the latter heat issues).

I've heard hundreds of folks HERE say they start on 12/12.

With that said, if I do 12/12, will I need the grow nutes or just the bloom nutes? What about the micro nutes?

Thanks!
