Querkle - 8 weeks flowering - PICS

I started out buying a 5 pack of TGA/Subcool "Querkle" from Attitude. 4 females, one male. Pictured below is the most indica variation of the 4 females. The other 3 have more sativa qualities. They are only in their 4th week of flower, as I topped them into large bushes. Organic soil, 600W HPS, 400W CMH for veg.

The smell is crazy, very musty. I figure I have about 2 weeks left on this one before the chop. The temps get into the low 60's at night, and it has been purpling since week 6 or so. I expect it to get even more purple in the coming weeks. The others at week 4 have not changed colour yet, but the buds are much bigger due to the size difference.

I just wanted to show the beauty of this strain. The colors and resin are just breathtaking. I might keep a lot of the little sugar leaves on when trimming because they are so caked in resin. Even the large fan leaves are coated with it. Big props to Subcool for the awesome genetics.

^^^ I killed the male. I would be interested in breeding if I didn't already have hundreds of quality genetics that I want to try. I'm not even sure if I will like the Querkle, so no point in making seeds. I also have Subcool's Jillybean and The Flav just starting to flower. It's going to be his genetics for a while now.

I think the bud will eventually turn purple, maybe later in flower. It's starting to creep onto the tops of the leaves now. I'll make sure to post pics when harvested. None of the other Querkles have shown color changes yet. It only started on this one in week 6 or so. The others are still back at week 4 flowering.

Here is the same plant 2 weeks later. I took a sample bud from the plant when it was at 8 weeks (first post). I smoked that sample after a week dry and little cure. It smelled and tasted amazing, so I'm not worried about chopping it this weekend.

You can see the purple has spread to some of the buds now. Not as entirely purple as I had thought, but I'm not too concerned about color anyway.

I also threw in a picture of one of the other querkle plants I have going. This one is about 4 weeks behind the other, or week 5/6 of flower. The purpling is just getting started on this one, barely noticeable. The overall look is much more sativa and the smell is completely different. Not so much of the musty smell, but more of a fruity smell that I'm used to with Subcool's stuff. I just wanted to show the size difference. It might be hard to tell from the pics but this plant is much larger. The buds are the same density (extremely dense), just larger. If I would have known that there was so little stretch I would be vegging these to well over 2 feet. The small single cola plant was vegged to 1 foot and flowered.

I'm also growing Jilly Bean right now. I'll post up some pics as they get closer to being down. My Jillybeans are at week 5 right now and they smell sooo good. Although, I haven't had a TGA strain that hasn't, soo.........

This is the second Querkle in my lineup. Not nearly as musty smelling with larger, less compact bud structure. Smell is different too, much fruitier. It smells like a lot of the other TGA gear I've grown, so I assume that's the Space Queen coming through. I miss the density of the buds on Querkle #1, but I know that it's gonna be ALL GOOD! My god, it smells delicious.

I had three original female Querkles out of 4 seeds I popped. The first in this thread was completely different, but Querkle #2 and Querkle #3 are almost identical.

This is at 9 weeks, coming on 10 this weekend. 600W HPS, Organic. Fairly cold temps at night (55F - 60F) turn the buds purple during weeks 9 and 10. They seem ready enough by week 8, but I like to wait for the color change.

I'm pretty sure that attitude's site is live now so when you place your order online they will be listed in stock only if they are available.

I think it just depends. Just a couple of weeks ago I ordered some Cannatonic from Resin seeds and just last week they emailed me saying they were out of stock.

how bout a smoke report homie
dammm nice job man!! looks sooo tastey let us know how she smokes
Don't know how I could have left that out!

I dried the buds in my basement hanging for 3 days. It's really dry down there so I bring them up for a slow dry before they get too crispy. I only had them jarred and burping for a couple days before I smoked some. I cleaned out my bong for the ultimate test.

The initial taste is musty and grapey, with more grape taste than smell. It's one of the most delicious smokes I've had in a long time. I couldn't believe how smooth it was for being so fresh. All my buddies want as much as they can get from me. I could easily charge $60 an eighth if I wanted to sell any.

The high is superb. It's an extremely relaxing feeling, but not tiring in the least. Kind of like a warm body calming effect with a nice mental high. I can smoke this all day and not feel too burnt out. I do notice that after indulging in a couple of blunts that the ceiling has been hit, and I don't feel myself getting any higher. That may be due to the curing that has to be finished, but I probably won't have any left by the time that rolls around. :) It also could be the fact that I smoke way too much as it is.

I'll post up some shots of the curing bud in a little bit. I always leave a decent amount of leaf when trimming these because it's so drenched in crystals, why wouldn't you? This strain is definitely one of my new favorites!

This report if for Querkle #1. #2 and #3 smell nothing like #1. They are much fruiter and sativa looking. I'll make sure to do a smoke report for those as well, because I'm interested to see if the grape still comes through.
