Querkle from Seed

when you know the sex take clones, unless u want male clones

and you dont need to use a screen brotha, just grab some twist ties and stab tiny holes in the top edges of your bucket to feed them through, it will help your yield a lot

right now most of your bud sites are getting shaded by the top of the plant,

what you mean twist ties?? & if i can get this understood ill gladly do it always looking for better ways & bigger yield! I was thinking i should wait & see the sex but 2 of them already have the little tear drop coming out by the nodes which normally shoots the first hair out but ive never had a male so i duno if it does the same thing or not.

should i just tie down each branching with a bud site at the top to open it up??

twist ties, for bags of food or candy or vegatables, anything really,

they are slim little white things with a small piece of aluminum in them thats flexible,

i wrap them around the middle of the branch and pull them down to the pot, or bucket in your case,

just pop little holes in your top rim of your bucket with a knife or drill so you can tie the branch down, you can use string, anything not harmful to the plant

the tighter u tie the knot the further u bend the branch, they will reach back to your lights and cause a bend in the branch, its really cool (research Low-Stress Training on here)

and just wait till you see little hairs or tiny balls coming in, dont bother wasting room with male clones

The idea is just to bend the main branches over so the smaller ones catch up. I run a piece of string through the side of my pot and around a branch, then tie down the branch at the desired height. You can see a variety of examples in my journal...I do it to all of my plants. Achieves the same (in my opinion better) results compared to topping.

If you've got enough room for a few extra clones just go ahead and take them all now.

Plants look very nice!

okay i like the twist tie idea but i can only find them so long i have string though.. i been looking up lst all day now.. i understand but at the same time i dont.

what branch do i bend first? & i shouldnt bend it completely over to where it gets no light then either right??.. im kinda confused lol. like everyones pics are awesome on the lst but to get my plant looking that way i duno how im usually good at understanding anything i must be just over thinking it.:wall:

I been messing around with the branches & I can't find any really good way to let light hit everywhere maybe I should just stick with it this way & throw my cfl's in there in 3 or 4 weeks for the under growth. :leaf:

Don't think about it so much as you letting more light in, but rather you are increasing the space between each branch which aids in air circulation as well as light penetration and will make your buds better!

An easy way to spread them out using my method is to select a lower node on a branch, loop a piece of string around it, and pull it towards the edge of your bucket (through a hole in the rim of the bucket...you may have to drill). This doesn't really encourage too much vertical growth, but will help pull the branches away from each other a little.

To select an appropriate spot on a branch, use your finger to simulate where the string would go around the branch and pull it down slightly in the direction it will be tied. The part of the branch above the string will continue to grow UP, you are just helping it pull it OUT a little while before growing up.

It is really very easy, and it would really benefit your plants--they are branching heavily already and this will help them each form into thick, long colas.

That sounds easier! I got some bad news though I'm pretty sure 2 are males one isnt nut I see no signs of anything on the one I think is female but one is deffinate starting to clump little balls & the other looks like the one who is a male but it only has one ball so far so duno if it's a male or calyx forming ):

I have delicious caramelo, sweet seeds black jack, female seeds, & extreme xline indica so I'm going to sprout 2 of them & veg them somewhere else & throw then in flowering spot or take clones from the female qwerkle & make it a mother! Haven't decided.

females wont form calyx yet, just small white hairs between the main stock and branches, after you see the pre-flowers they will go into flower

and males usually show sex first so you probably do have the one female

going to take about 4 clippings off suspected female tonight! gotta get this started so i can just get them roots then throw them right in flower room! as newer branches go will be taking clippings her whole life hopefully!!

chopping down other 2 if i can get a 100% on being male.:leaf:

you want us to take a look? throw some pics up

if your one female is female, you will be able to tell if the other 2 are male just by the huge difference of hairs vs balls

i will put pix up sometime today but im pretty sure their males cuz i always have done fem seeds but tga has no fem seeds & it doesnt look like any of the plants ive done so far im pretty sure there are a cluster of balls so ill get those pix up to show you soon.
