Question about lighting in a 10x10 room

Hi, hope I'm doing this right this is my first time posting although I have had several grows. I want to upgrade to a 10x10 room in my house but only want to use 2,000 watts of light. I understand for the entire space that is less than the adequate watt per sqftage. My question is this: could I grow say 20 plants under 2 1000w lights (ten plants each) in this 10x10 room and still have decent watts per square foot as long as the plants are within the light footprint? Does this make sense??

You don't have to use the whole room! Lol
Just use half. Each 1K light is perfect for a 4'X4' area. Put them together and you got a 4'X8' area;-)

How high is your ceiling? is the room itself 10x10 or is that the raw room size? running 4 600 watt lights will give you a more even footprint in terms of usable space.

Ok cool so having a 4x8 grow in a room that measures 10x10 from wall to wall isn't unreasonable at all then right? I think I got it. The ceilings are 8 feet btw Thanks for the help!

here is how to figure wattage for your space - figure 50 watts of coverage for every square foot (10x10 =100 ) (L x W) then 50 x's 100 -5,000 watts. You can all so increase wattage with using "side-lighting" (will improve yields by 25% +)

Just uss 4x8 of the 10x10 room for now. This will equal 5x10 with walkways witch you will need. And trust me....you will eventually get 2 more 1000 watter for the other half. From alot of experience i tell you now to go ahead and build the bigger room even if you only plan on using a couple lamps for now. You will eventually use the whole deal. Ive built countless rooms over the years....always make them bigger than the equipment especially lights that you have now. This applies to all equipment really. A.C. ....go bigger than what you think. Vent fans.....go bigger. Dehumidifier.....go bigger. Duct size....go bigger. Plan it all out now so your not stuck or reworking shit later.
