You want the fan to blow from the side of plant, not from top. Keep it on low and rotate plant daily so one side does not get hit all the time. My fan in flower room is on low(oscilating) and inches away from ladies. I have no choice, but theya re doing fine.
I put a fan below the level of the plant so it is blowing up, and then not directly on the plant but against the wall so it creates moving air around the area. If you need to keep the space cooler, the lower the temp of the whole room with more AC.
I use a non-oscillating fan blowing from the side and have had no problems with it. I don't rotate very often, but I change the angle of the fan every few days.
