question about my seedlings

they are almost two weeks old and I was wondering if I could put maybe a minute amount of nutrients in with how I water them instead of just straight water? I dont want to burn them up so I was wondering if it was a good idea or not.

it all depends on the circumstances...

give us more details..

what soil are you using,,

is it soilless, or hydroponic.

how big are they..

we need to know these things in order to try and help you.

i usually like to let my soil grown in ff ocean forest go about three weeks at the least before i give any nutes.. but if you start out really low, you maybe ok.. i don't see the need to rush it though.. so long as they look healthy and all so far, i don't see the need to push things..

I have them in jiffy pots at the moment which are just peat pellets. I dont have them in soil yet just in those trays. they will be going in to soil in about a month or so however to be grown under the sun.

and the size of them they are probably around 3 inch's tall at the moment, due to not having a light to put them under they are a bit stretched but not to bad, the temps in the day allow me to put them outside under the sun but in the mornings they are inside in a window which im sure has contributed to them stretching. I will probably start at way less than 50 percent on the nutrients I was planning on just using some MG for right now just to give them a little kickstart then once I have them in the ground I have a friend that has his own recipe for ferts that works amazingly as I found out last year.

ok another question now the stretching has started to be an issue and a few of my plants have fallen over under their own weight outside today in the wind that is blowing... I used toothpicks and thread to tie them back up.. is there a quick fix for this or am I just gonna have to deal with it like I am?

you can bury the stems but low light levels are going to cause them to continue stretching anyways. Get some cfls right on top of them so they don't need to stretch for light.

you should keep them in jiffy's until they pop roots. When they do, move them to soil. If they haven't you could just spray them with 15% strength high N fertilizer.
If your soil of choise is pre-fertilized you shouldn't worry for the first 3 weeks. If its not you want to add some fertilizer in it (compost, humus, blood meal, bone meal, guano, kelp etc.).

I could do that I just need to find a few more lamps I have plenty of bulbs but only one lamp which is a major issue I was a bit ill prepared to start this early but I have been chomping at the bit since the end of september to get this years crop goin. I think I am going to invest in a 400 watt mh for next spring that way I dont have to worry about stretching as an issue because it is quite annoying to say the least.

yea most of them have roots I am quite sure I am working with alot of plants for the first time really so it's a challenge which I do enjoy the challenge I just should have prepared a little more and gotten a light because of how short the days are and I should have put a fan on them as well. as far as fertilizer goes I am just giving them a week solution of MG I just hate that some of them fell over because of my bat brain I should probably write things down in a list.

Just plant them in soil :D

If you start with 20 plants, 10 become male, 2 you kill in eccidents, 1 hermi's up on you because of excess stress and you'r left with 7 plants. Thats not a lot.

I was working with way over 20 plants but I did figure out the issue with them finally. not enough light and then I think it was a bad idea to put them in direct sun in the jiffy pots because they dried out entirely to quick and well needless to say I ended up with alot of dead plants and had to start over. I however was blessed with a mass amount of seeds because I save every seed I come across that is worth saving so I have hundreds of them and I replanted. I do however have 10 good plants that I saved out of those that died.
