Question about optimizing space starting from seed

Note: I'm starting from scratch so there's currently 0 plants alive.

Setup: 8x8 flower tent, 9x 6 gallon octopot autofill system. 4x8 veg tent, 9x 3 gallon octopot autofill system.

The problem: I'm starting from seed. The seeds are exclusive and sell out so I want to keep the genetics around. I want to maximize my first harvest, but when I pop these initial 9 seeds, I'll obviously have to kill some males. So the question becomes: do I grow the seeds into mothers then cut clones to ensure that all 9 pots are occupied with female plants? Or do I grow the seeds through their full life, expect to lose half as males, cut clones that turn into mothers then maximize the second harvest?

Yessir

I grow them all to about 2 feet tall or bushy enough to take cuts
Then I flip them to 12/12 to identify early males
Always keep cuts because even going clone to clone is better than losing a pheno

I clone winners and males
I am keeping a male Headbanger atm
When time is right I'll flip his clone and introducing to a couple gals

Keep males, well the best one, then keep the genetics going yourself


No way to cut clones and keep them in that grow, they will be too far behind

Cut clones of everything
Flip them all after clones root
Take best male and save his pollen
Harvest 1st group, pick best pheno of those and pollinate her clones next grow
Have seeds for years

So once I get the pollen I don't need to keep any male clones around right? Just gather a shit load of seeds? Sorry I've never had highly touted seeds so I always just grew them out and that was the end of it.
