Question about Urine

I've been doing some reading about using my urine as a fertilizer.
From what i read its not very effective in the blooming stage.

Question is: What is a homemade recipe i can use to make a good 1 part fert for both veg and bloom that covers all nutrients needed?
I was thinking urine, wood ash, Epsom salt....But what are the quantities?
Also i am using an aeroponic tote setup, so i would have to make a tea?

I'm just trying to make a fert that is cheap and i have the products laying around the house.

No the grow room would end up smelling like a piss trough. You can get cheap nutes for $4 bro.

this is the most awfull thing i've heard ... haven't you noticed your piss changing color sometimes ... ? depending on what liquid you drink during the day the PH, acidity whatever you wanna call it will change ... piss is not a stable liquid : it rejects any bad chemicals that yours body shall not take and these i don't think are good to plants ...

***edit*** if you wanna get cheap ferts i've heard that molasse is actually really good during flowering though ... add 5ml/1gal water straight mixing it quite well so it get disolved, you can even mix it in water that has been mixed with your nutes already ... you should read on it, on this smoke a big one and dont pisss on your plant ;) :bigjoint:bongsmilie

Don’t use urine older than 24hours on your plants as the urea turns into ammonia and will burn your plants.
Fresh human urine IS STERILE. (unless there is a urinary tract infection – this urine should not be used) and so free from bacteria.

I recommend that you dilute urine to 10-15 parts water to 1 part urine for application on plants in the growth stage. Dilute to 30-50 parts water to 1 part urine for use on pot plants as they are much more sensitive to fertilizers of any kind.

Don’t use urine older than 24hours on your plants as the urea turns into ammonia and will burn your plants.
To use in flower you would have to increase the amount of urine as flowering plants need more nutes, but you would just have to experiment with the amount.
Do not use on foliage.

it's not because it doesn't kill it with parted water that it's good, human piss is sterile inside your body and is subjective to any contamination outside of it, the reason urine is sterile inside is because it has no contact with antything outside your body and piss contains alot more than nutrients you need you know maybe adding some crap might help too ... just think about your idea ... would you feel like your plant would be healthy if you took a fukn piss on it for real you gotta be a new kind of stoner ... just grab fertilizers no otehr solution ether supply the minimum or don't grow

Sorry but I have to ask... Would you really smoke something you pissed on? lol

Just by some cheap ferts from your local home improvement store. Use 1/4 to 1/2 the recommended dose.

Others thanks for your reply's but i didn't ask for your opinions on urine. I'm not going to "PISS" on my plants... And as Villa stated and has also been stated on this forum many times. "You people that complain about urine but use manure and thinks its fine." So hypercritical. I know what I eat and IIRC the taste or the smell of urine is NOT transferred to the plants.. they take up the nuriants... THAT'S IT.

And also a 1:10 amount of urine is not going to reek up my grow room over the smell of my beautiful ladies!
Correct me if im wrong... The smell is Ammonia and:
  • The nitrogen in urine (ammonia and urea) must first be consumed by bacteria as food. The bacteria then store the nitrogen in the bacterial protoplasm. As the Bacteria die, they liberate the stored nitrogen as nitrate​

Urine is 100% organic. It has no harsh chemicals in it, I assure you it has no effect on the end product, you don't taste it or smell it. I have tried it for all who want to know. Not because I could not afford any nutes but purely for experimentation. (I love to experiment) also pissing on your compost heap (if you have one) gets excellent results.really speeds up the process lol. There will be and are people who do use piss on a regular basis, I'm sure. But I found I get better results from the (harsh) chemicals, I'm not an organic grower. Urine contains enzymes and resorts of other good stuff that you just cannot and will not get from other manmade stuff.

If you are worried about affects from from urine when smoking the end product then just think of all the man made shite you pump it to your plants. That is why it is advised to flush, if not you can taste the chemicals in the weed. ORGANIC is the best option if chemicals worry you. Piss is organic but it does not sound good, I admit that lol

Ammonia is formed in old urine with the break down of urea and no doubt other thinks. That is the stink from old urine. You must use fresh urine when using as a organic fertilizer.

The real problem with urine is that it has higher sodium ppm than nitrogen. Sodium is toxic to Cannabis. Just say No. cn

Ok, so let me know if i got this right.. To be able to use urine in a hydro setup you need to add some beneficial bacteria to convert the ammonia and urea nitrate. That will prevent it from "spoiling" and stinking?

That won't help. You'll not affect the sodium/nitrogen ratio. If you want to kill or stunt your plants ... proceed. cn

That said though we have a veggie patch ontop of the septic tank run off that produces beast veggies. The grass on the septic side of the property is also always alot greener, sometimes abit soft under foot though lol
