Question on drying (pics attached)

Toking Tide

Heres the deal, this is my setup to dry my buds. I have a good size cardboard box with buds suspended in it. Small slits are cut in the box on front and back to allow air to flow. A fan is in front of the box to move the air. I felt inside the box and behind it and feel decent but not too much air flow. Air flow feels about right. What can I do to keep the right humidity in this box? What else can I do to improve on this? Drying is where I always feel I fall short. My buds always dry too fast from I'm guessing too low humidity. Help me out here guys (and gals). Thanks in advance.

I think your setup looks just fine. You could always just stick a bowl or couple glasses of water in there, just to raise humidity slightly. OH! (Edit) something just occured to me. I was reading about a method where you dry the buds normally for like 18 hours, then cure them for like 6 hours, then dry for 12, cure for 4, dry for 8, cure for 2, etc. until they are dry, then you cure for however you want. Basically what this does is dries the outside of the bud, then the short cure releases the moisture in the middle back to the outside, then you dry again, and repeat. Gives you a much slower, more even dry. After that, the buds cure a lot better. The method I saw would basically just require you sticking your buds in like a plastic bag, like a grocery bag, and closing it, but not sealing it all the way to prevent mold. Keep it in a dark place during the "Cure" periods as mentioned above. Buds they feel dry on the outside should come out feeling moist again. Repeat until they dont. You dont have to do this for your final cure, but it works fine for the mini cures in between drying.
