Hey guys, i am finally starting to pull together some stuff for my first grow. I have a tiny budget...

Basically im gonna grow 1 plant for a first attempt (mainly because of space), but anyways i have no idea about lighting.

The light i have seen is: Spiral Compact Energy Saving Light Bulbs - Lamps and Tubes from Osram - Sylvania - Philips - GE i planned on getting 2 of these for the vegetive growth of the plant, do you think this would be sufficient?

If not, could you please state an alternative...

Also, if the CFLs i have chosen are ok, then where would i plug them in? (sorry if its a stupid question).

Thanks in advance guys ;)

I would also love to know an ideal piece of equipment to screw the bulbs in to. Was thinking of those clamp on round reflector things.

I'm not sure about those specific bulbs because I didn't see a kevlin rating. For vegging you want cfls that are the daylight spectrum, I think its 2700k, they are more bright white/blue, and not the soft white color.
The soft whites I think are 6400k and are better for flowering.

The fixtures I use are what idl is talking about they are a clamp with a big aluminum cone reflector thing, they cost about 6 dollar US at the hardware store.
Then you can get bulbs splitters that makes 1 socket into 2 and there you go!

For a sprout 1 light will be fine, then 2, but later on depending on how big, if you want better quality, I would say around 8 bulbs are needed.

Try and get higher wattage than 20 if you can, you need all the lights you can get, and usually higher wattage ones aren't even much more expensive, and later one with a big plant you will want the brighter bulbs.
