Question- Traveling to Canada

I have a question about traveling to Canada from US.

Does every road way leading to Canada have a check point :?: as I have no id to get an ID (which doesn't make sense) I am wondering if I can travel to Canada to visit a friend without stopping at a check point.

Please if you view this thread leave your thought, thanks for reading.

Just get an ID. Go to the city court house in the city you were born. Pay for your birth certificate. The DMV only requires yoir birth certificate and them will finger print you. Nothing else is required.

Yes, I comprehend the process, yet my question is are there check points at every state that require an ID to cross.. if you are aware that is the question I am so desperately seeking to be answered.

They turn back all Felons dont they?
i believe they turn you away if you do not have ID, i am not certain about felons, to my comprehension if you do not have a Drivers License you are not allowed to enter, for me to go back to my home town to acquire a birth cert and get an ID it would be a great waste of time.. hence the reason for posting this question.

Ah, why thank you for that. still not really what I am looking to do, as I am not really interested in getting a new birth cert.
Why do you want to risk a visit to Guantanamo? All the Patriot Act catches is marijuana users and drug runners. I'm all against IDs too, but it sure as hell beats a cock meat sandwich. Terry stop laws suck.

man, i'm sure every major road way into canada has a check point. Lucky for you there is vast open wilderness that does not have check points. Shitty part for you is , its about to snow and snow hard!

Yeah, I just remember hearing my elders talk about crossing boarders w/o ID and as I am on the path to sovereignty, meaning I have resent most corporate identification, are there still ways to pass ports w/o the need to identify myself.

Hi Mike :-)

Being here in Maine and only 60 miles to the border I am pretty familiar what you are asking.

Since 9-11, the laws are even stricter for those legally trying to enter our neighbor to the north. Now one needs a passport / Canadian - Mexico ID card. These are a little different than the standard Passport that one needs say travelling abroad. You will need your birth certificate and 2 forms of residence.

Here in Maine, we have several checkpoints on the "main roads" that cross into Canada. The secondary roads and logging roads do not have check points as such, but are fixed with several types of alarms to fend off illegal crossing.

I would not want to take a risk of illegally going back and forth with the new laws that transpired after that tragic day in 2001.

Good Luck in whatever you may choose to do

Love and Peace

Outside of Metaline Falls, WA, there is a little tourist cave called Gardner Caves that has smaller branches that extend out and exit into Canada. If you like spelunking, you could try that. You would need bolt cutters to get through the gate on the cave, but it is donation run, so the security is probably lax
