Having some damn good weather in the se u.s. right now, and the forecast looks good thru March. I decided to go ahead and start some seedlings a little early this year. I'll sit em out side in pots after they sprout, that way I can bring em in if it gets too cold. Reason I'm startin early is because I got a deer hangin around again and they stayed away from my bigger plants last year for the most part. Plan on puttin them in in the ground after they outgrow my 1 gallon buckets. Should be pretty big by then. Anyway, if they show sex early with the days being shorter right now, will they revert back to veggie when the days get longer with no problems? Or will it stunt the growth somehow? Thanks, and sorry for the long post. Happy growing.

Good question.
well they probably wont flower until they are a certain size when do the days get longer? if they are far enough into flower and then they revert back to veg then you will have weird little immature buds and then during the second flowering they will either start to grow again or just remain immature and new buds will form. Also the plant just may not revert if its already in the flowering stage
man it's a tough call. Any other opinions guys? thats my best guess. Id just veg em inside till days get longer but that may not be an option for u.

yeah idk bout this one but where are you? is the anychance that youll get hit with a late winter early spring storm that will decimate your small plants?

best to veg em indoors if possible but i dont think youll have problems with it budding

It's ok, the plants will revert back to veg after a week or 2 of getting used to the new light schedule of the sun. The days are getting longer each day and will continue to do so until the 21st of June, when they will start to shorten again until Dec. 20-21st The plants "sense" this by being able to store more energy everyday. They base their stage of growth on the amount of energy they're able to store each day. Anything over 12hrs. worth of light/energy will keep them in veg/revert them back to veg.
