What would cause your leaves on yer plant to become brittle and dried out so much that they crumble when you touch them? They are green and beautiful except for the tips of about 11 leaves.

nute burn, under watering, to much wind on the, high heat, light stress.... many different things, as always a pic would be most useful

I'll Post a pic tonight, just trying to get some objective views, it seems pretty unlikely that ALL those would cause brittle/crumbling leaves.

Yeah all of those factors can cause your symptoms but a picture would really help us identify your problem.

actually they all can cause this. plants transpire, almost like people do when they sweat, to keep themselves cool so if you have high heat the plants will transpire more and lose more water thus sucking the plant of its water, if the room has high winds what happens?? yup you guessed it the plants moisture is blown off leaving it to continuously transpire with no luck. you could always mist your plants one or two times a day to help them out, i do this for low humidity reasons.

Ok heres some pics and a few more details. This plant was designated to be my mother plant. Everything was going fine until I noticed this the other day. Leaves just crumbled jut touching them. It's not all the leaves just a few. PH is fine 6.7. Using FF Big Bloom and Grow Big every other watering half strength. Using HO T5's. The 2ft 4 light fixture. Temps are always around 75-78. Sometimes it gets up to 81 on the warmer days. I have a fan in there that isn't blowing air Directly on it (was told not to). It's set on low as well. Just odd because my other plant's are fine, have 4 in the 5th week of flowering (check journal for details on them, link in signature).

Now I have a crazy Idea. Tell me if I'm off base. I always leave my window open with a fan on the window seal blowing cold air in. Our downstairs neighbors smoke cigs like fricken chimineys. Like no joke, every 5-10 minutes they are smoking another one (officially timed :D) lol. The smoke comes into the window very easily. There's a light scent in the room and sometimes in the whole apartment. Any chance that can be causing issues?

Anyways heres some pics -

one more bump, any help at all ? All these symptoms are signs of stuff that SHOULDN'T be a problem, aka overwaterin/underwatering, PH or nuteburn ... Im at a loss here

Looks like a bad case of phosphorus deficiency, Pic 6,7,8. Sort of. Could also be Ph (Pic 5). You said 6.7 Ph, so I assume it's in real soil, not Promix? Way too high for soil less if not. Are the ulcers on the lower part and progressing upward? This would suggest a mobile nute like P or K.
Search: mynamestitch. I think it's this board, maybe IC or CanCult. Best analysis tool I've ever seen. He wrote the book: Marijuana Plant Problems.

Aight, I'll try flushing her and then backing off on the nutes, see if that helps at all and go from there.

Your ph is way to low (acidic) check run off imediately flush or your plants will die before the weekend.

Ok I flushed the plant, runoff is 6.1 ... is that a bad thing? Going in, the water was PH'd at 6.8. And Johnbudz, what the heck to you mean 6.7 PH is way too low? lol. Thats about what you want it at in soil my friend.

Your right with the ph, and a good flush back off some with the nutes and your all good

SO the runoff being at 6.1 is ok? or are you saying that i was right about the 6.7 in soil? The normal runoff is roughly about 6.3-6.5. Havent checked it in awhile though, figured id check it now and its at 6.1 =/

Your run off needs to be as close to soil levels as posable. High 6.7 to 6.8 being target.
If its close to 6.0 then flush with 3x the volume of the bucket you might have to do this
More than once to keep your ph run off in check

Roger that, I'll flush again after letting her dry out for a bit

I think you're dealing with horrible nute burn. Start using less than you think you should be using and you won't have this problem the next time.

When you keep using so many nutes, it's not actually going to make yoru grow better, no matter what the bottle says.

always start small and work your way up.

Even when I use AN and their system is pretty flawless, I still use less than the bottle says because I know a few nutes go a long way....

Yea, I flushed the crap out of her, letting her dry out now, Will do half of what I was doing now, see if it improves at all.
