Hey. After a few views of the Youtube video called "How to Build a Basic Indoor Weed Grow Room - Step by Step Construction Guide (9 items).
Which I must say was great and I learned a ton of information. I'm planing on making something similar to his set up. I'm thinking of building two side by side boxes.
Enclosures:
1 4 Foot Horizontal Rectangle (Summer Box)
1 5 Foot Horizontal Rectangle (Fall Box) 27"X36"X60" 2.3ft X 3ft X 5ft
I plan on using Mylar everywhere and debating if I need just 1 fluorescent or both that he indicated (1 Cool White & 1 Warm White). If I only need one which do you recommend? Or should I get a mini grow light with 2 sockets available? I know with miniaturizing everything as much light might not be needed but unsure of the spectrum that is needed for growth.
With my Fall Box will one 400 watt HPS bulb be enough light or in fact way too much being inside such a small enclosure?
I intend on making my own hydroponic system like he did using "kitty litter" sized boxes located at the bottom of each of the Rectangles 14" to 16" from the bottom to the shelf the plants will sit on. Using the same method he did just miniaturized.
One question is how long do you set the pumps to run for. I know it's 3 times a day but he never indicated time.
Also, with these sized containers are the common use of Computer Fans enough to generate the airflow needed? Or is it better to get 2 small fans and mount them to the wall/ceiling?
I'm also concerned with not using a C02 container. I seen that he uses Seltzer water/Carbonated water on his plants. Should I do this as well? If so how often?
If all goes well I'll take pictures and update my adventures with everyone.
I have MS and only looking to grow my own 2-3 plants at a time. And for personal use only.
Any help or advice would greatly be appreciated.
