Questions about new hydro closet

Hello all, after lurking here for a few months, reading through tons of posts, Ive decieded to take the plunge.

I am building a new grow room from scratch and need advice. It is currently a 7x2.5x6 closet, against the foundation, in a bathroom, in my basement. It is the furthest room from the stairs and there are no windows near it. It has ducting for my furnace/central air above a drop ceiling. I want to split it to have two area(veg/flower). I am quite handy with tools, and am remodeling that bathroom(new tile walls and floor etc). I plan to build a false wall in front of the closet, shelves inside the closet, and a dividing wall(all covered with mylar or painted flat white. I was thinking about running the exhaust ducting 15 feet to the water-heater exhaust port on my chimney. I can also keep the resevoirs 5 feet away in the next room and run hose through the ceiling.

I am planning on using a hps for flowering and flourescents for veg/mothers/cloning. The local Menards and Home Depot have both 32w and 40w t8's and t12's for $20-$30. Are t5s worth ordering them mail order or going to a specialty store? I can take the fixtures apart and mount the bulbs in any spacing configuration that works.

I want to build some sort of hydro/aero for flowering.

I will start with some bag seed, but will keep a mother or 2 after I get some quality seeds mail order.

I want to get the maximum yield while harvesting every 2 months and keep a perpetual harvest going year round.

I will clone in either rockwool or jiffy pucks, under a dome in trays with a heating pad, then move them down into the veg area(unless I dont need a seperate area for cloning and veging). Then from veg into expanded clay in net pots in the flowering area. I am going to build a hydro system for the flowering area, but am not sure what will work best for me. I can make something better than the net pots in rubbermaid tubs. For example i was thinking about net pots in a pvc tube with low pressure sprayers underneath, and a large airstone in the res. Is using sprays in this environment a waste? Would a simple ebb & flow give me the same results? Can this type of system I was also looking into the ultrasonic misters. 1 in a sealed pvc tube looks promising. Has anyone done this? I need a seperate feeding system for veging and flowering, I am not sure what to use for each.

Now for the questions........

1. How would you suggest I break up the space?
2. What size lighting do you suggest for each area?
3. What sort of intake/exhaust would you suggest?
4. Is it a good idea to use flourescents vertically in the vegging/mother area?
5. How many plant would you suggest in each area?
6. Rockwool or Jiffy Pucks?
7. What sort of feeding system would you suggest for the veg area?
8. What type of hydro/aero system would you suggest for the flowering area?
9. What size pots?
10. Would you suggest I keep the mother in a seperate feeding system than the veging plants?
11. What strain of seed should I start with? And where would you suggest I buy them from?(I am in the midwest)
12. How many flourescents will I need for the veging area?
13. How big a yield should I expect?

Thanks for your patience in reading this and thanks in advance to all those who will reply with advice and sage wisdom. I will take pictures this week as I start the project and post a journal.
