I was wondering how long after your seedlings sprout, are you able to see preflowers?? I have a strain that I am growing in soil, vegging under CFL's and will flower under a HPS. I think I am seeing preflowers and the seedlings are only 25-26 days old, since they sprouted out of the dirt? Is this too soon I swear I am seeing preflowers on atleast 3 of the babies, just wondering if I am seeing things or do they show this soon???? ....Thxs...Confused....LOL:-? :-? :joint:

I doubt you will see any pre-flowers that sppm using CFLs. Maybe in 1 month or 2 right before flowering or at the beginning of flowering. Good luck!

Preflowers, as opposed to full blown flowers, generally appear after the fourth week of vegetative growth from seed. Check carefully above the fourth node. Please note that preflowers are very small and and almost impossible to differentiate without magnification. A photographer's 10x loupe is handy indeed when examining preflowers.

   Thx Mogie,

That was helpful and yes I am trying to determine the sex of my plants...... general audiences agree above the fourth nodes about 4 wks after veg begins , counting from when they sprouted correct? Boy this is getting very confusing... I am a paramedic and I have to remember alot of shit for other folks sake.... what a simple task, NP!, .......but for myself I can not get the hang of this.....! I was never a gardener anyways but I love to try, but there again trying doesn't get you high, and that is not cheap!!!:peace: :peace: :peace: :peace:

I was wondering if some of the more experienced growers, would possibly have some good pictures taken of their own gardens with plants about the same age as mine; mine are now approx. 26-28 days old since sprouting? I am using a MG moisture control with self feeding nutes, this seems to be working well so far the soil is awesome to work with, and the root system seems to love it. As for me it is winter here...hahaha I buy local and this is pretty much what was left over, but it is working well, I usually only fert. if the plant looks lacking in some nutes which does not happen too often.....Thanks in advance hope you experienced growers can feel my impatients to sex my plants...lol patients are hard to come by when you are growing your own smoke.....Thanks you are..........~~~~~
