I've actually got some deficiencies showing in middle of my canopy it's weird mainly under 2 of my vipar spectra 450s. Plants under my 900 mars hydro and my California lights works 550 are happy and look great. Everything has been the same. Strains nutes water schedule etc. Only difference is the light and from the pics u can see im having this weird what looks like phos. Def. But all the plants get the same everything
Any suggestions plzz and thank you fellow cultivators.! Hope everyone has a good harvest!

are you talking about that one leaf thats a little bluish looking (almost looks like a camera thing)? phosphorus deficiency is pretty rare, but that is how it would start, then would start forming rust spots and would spread. if its not doing any of that, i wouldnt think its a phosphorus thing.

Thanks for taking the time. Yea in one pic its the bluish purpleish , and if u zoom in and look around couple other things, like burnt tips and brown/rust spotting, jus wondering why its only in the middle. Like i said everthing is the exact same its happenin under the 450's....

could be phosphorus def maybe. my book says its very rare, but that is how my book says it spreads. starts out with leaves turning bluish purple and slowly spreads and starts forming rust spots. and no problem, but dont take my word as gospel. I go by the "marijuana garden saver" book. its really helpful

More likely potassium deficient. How high are the lights above the affected plants? What medium are you growing in? The LEDs have been known to cause harmless purpling. It’s not a deficiency. The dead spots etc are.

Dark leaves starting at bottom and working up is how it goes with phosphorous deficiency and it isn’t too rare. You’ll have purple stalk, stems, leaf petioles. Eventually top growth fades and bottom leaves get the dark blotching which will work its way up the plant. Let’s see the stalk near growth tip and let’s see good clear shots of the lower growth

Your plants look fine regarding the purpling/fade up top. Like hot rod said, it’s probably due to the light intensity. I get upper fade on plants directly under my hps when I run it close

I’m going through the same thing...seems my purpling stems came about in flower... E6FC1540-3C81-4499-A733-D33AF3CB78D6.jpeg
This has to be a phosphorus def... as it should be using more making flowers...

This is very interesting. I know I lack alot of knowledge but please do share more about the led causing color on leaves? I knew you could get burn but have yet to read they cause purpling. So if the purpling is harmless should we focus more on the yellowing in the inner part of the canopy? Under the vipar 450s is where it started and they were 14" ish high. Moved to 18-20 high for the concern of burn could be hurting the cause. It's a 4x8 tent with the 2 vipar 450s in the middle and it just spread. the outer part of the canopy looks the happiest (furthest awayfrom the light)
