Questions...questions...questions???

I don't think it is ideal, but it will work. The big problem is that the sun is much more intense, with a wider spectrum, and a lot more UV. Switching to CFLs is a big change, plus if you have other plants indoors you can bring pests, mildew, or worse in with your plants.
 
I did a small grow. after taking out the males im down to two. they actually are outside plants. they been outside since seedlings. the change came when i added the flouresants, so the plant could get more light even after the sun goes down.
 
Erratic lighting is not good for your plants.

Unless you have them on a 24hr veg cycle, then that's a different story.
 
when i wake up and go to work around 6am i put my plants outside when the shade is about to reach my plants (7pm)( i bring them in the house
 
Are they getting approx. the same amount of light each day?

What about your dark period, what time do you start that?
