Quick clone question

I have a quick question. I plan on cutting clones from my blackberry strain in a week or so.. Do I need to stop feeding them nutes until then and only give them straight water, or is keeping to the nute schedule ok?

also- can i put my clone dome under a MH bulb or should I just use the cfl's ? I can have the mh bulb any desired distance above the dome, but the cfl's are on a tray and will only be a couple inches above the dome. which is better/safer? this is my first attempt at cloning, any and all help is greatly appreciated!!

kepp right on feeding as usual, they'll need it,and definately only use the flouros for the first couple of weeks,or util they establish roots.the mh light will crispy fry them fast with no root system.

I heard that you should only clone during the veg light cycle. It would be real nice if i could clone after sexing the plants (a few weeks into 12/12 light) to avoid unnecessary cloning. Does cloning a plant in the early stages of flowering work? has anyone tried?

well i will only be 3-4 days into flowering when i clone so it shouldnt be a big deal right?

You will be fine. I have cloned up until 2 weeks into flowering. The more pistols on the clone, the longer it will take it to root in a sense. Sometimes the stretch of the HPS makes for some nice clones.

thank u blunder.. another question, if my cfl's are 7inches above the TOP of my 7inch clone dome will the clones be alright? or should i raise the light higher..?

everyone always says dont clone when in flowering but i took 2 off my outdoors this summer when they were 2 weeks in and it worked fine. Now i had 2 plants that were nearly killed by frost, only had a few buttom brances alive and they are 5 weeks into flowering. I cut them off and am tryin to clone them, its been 3 days and they are still alive so will see.

I've been a cloning machine lately...in the past month Ive cloned a dozen plants.

You can still clone under MH, but keep them at a further distance if you can...i keep them about 3 1/2' away from my 400 watt'r.

also, you can clone when plants are in flower, it just takes longer for them to revert back into veg...

just my $.02

here's a pic of my clone box from yesterday with 7 healthy clones inside under my 400 watt'r just so you kno i'm no bullshitter... :)
