quick question about CFL watts

When everyone on this board has these amazing plants under just 200W of cfl is that the CFL equivalent or actually 200 CFL watts..equal to a shit ton more for any other kind of light?

they are using actual wattage but lumens is what you need to be most concerned with.

100w cfls are usually like 23 real wats so like 10bulbs is like 230ish real watts

I use actual 250 watt cfl's and not the equivalent. They are about 100.00 a bulb.

you got that backwards dam..23 cfl watts are equal to 100 other...thus why they save energy

is 100 watts CFL good enough for just 1 plant loquacious

i'd want to have a little more, 100 w is not a little but its not a lot, bulbs are cheap. the more the better. i'd put in as much as you could afford / handle temp wise.

electricity bill is my worry mainly.....seeing as i don't pay it directly, but gotta pay the mom for however much i use...and im just gettin outta school n pretty daaamn broke. Thanks though....id like to have around 130, but we'll see how she goes. have a good one
