Quick stupid question about Advanced nutrients

hey all

just a quick question about advanced nutrients i forgot to ask when i was at the hydro store. I had picked up seni bloom part a and b to start off my flowering(i plan to add a few of their supplements in the upcoming weeks), but i forgot to ask how to use it.

im reading the 15ml for every liter(will start off half strength), but what im confused on is, is it 15ml each for part a and b per liter of water, by mixing part a in the liter of water first, then adding part b to the same liter of water and mixing again after. OR, is it mix 15ml of part a with 1 liter of water, and mix part b with another liter of water, and combining the two liters after each is mixed individually? OR, do i pour each one separately after mixing?

anyways, help would be greatly appreciated so i can start feeding my girls :)

thanks in advance

It's 15ml each of parts a + b per liter of water. Add one part to your mix, then the other. I don't think it will matter as to which one you add first.

Yeah, just make sure that you are using one liter, not a gallon like some of my dippy friends have done in the past...and then they wondered why the nutes *weren't working*....

Doh.

And I usually add the A then the B since that way, I don't get em confused and add twice as much as one than the other. Oh, it's happened, hate to admit it but it has.

Love Sensi A&B

And if you want to do different kinds of feedings, you can go to the Advanced Nutrients website to plug in what you are growing and get specialized feeding schedules.

good luck!!

15ml/liter is insane!! The original sensi A&B calls for about 2ml/l each of A & B so that would be 2ml x 4(liter per gallon) = 8ml a GALLON A, 8ml B a GALLON.

The new formula (because it has fulvic/humics) calls for 4ml each/liter = 16ml GALLON A, And 16ml/GAL B.

A normal dose of nutes usually is in the range of 20-25 ml a gallon when the base is used by itself.

Do you have the new Sensi and where did you get the 15ml requirement? I think it should be 1.5, if you are shooting for 500ppm, you may have neglected the decimal. If you have the new formula I can see 15ml a gallon of each A&B.

If you use 15ml/l of say A, that would be 60ml/gallon. Your 1 liter of A would only dose about 1000/60 = 16 gallons? Doesn't that sound a little heavily dosed?

Yep, you're right. I goofed when I replied to the OP's question, I should have proofread before hitting the post reply button.

The one run I did using sensi 2-part, I mixed it using 350ml per part into a 30 gal res. That's around 11.6ml per gallon with 700ml total ferts in 30 gallon res. using RO water put my ppm's around 750 -800. I think, I don't have my notes near me right now.

I am not too sure if i have the new sensi or old version, but i assume new cause i picked it up the other week, and the store hydro store has only been open for a few months. I got the 15ml per liter dosage from the bottle, and using the nutrient calculator on the AN website gave me the same dosage.

I started using 15ml per half gallon(1.89L) which is roughly a little over half strength, with no nutrient burn whatsoever. I did the same dose on the second feeding time, and had planned to go about 3/4 strength on the next feeding, and eventually up to full strength

Did i really mess up? I haven't seen any signs of nute burn or anything, and i can snap a picture of the plants later and of the bottle with their dose on it as well.

thanks for the help and info

Yea , a pik of the front and back of the bottle would be great. Do u have a TDS meter? That would tell all.

attached notice I punched in 4 liter as the res size so the ml value is for 1 gallon. This is the new calculator.

Man, i feel like a complete retard. It is supposed to be 4ml per liter. I was getting the 15ml dosage from a root booster i use every 2 weeks. Man, do i feel stupid now, especially cause i was feeding my plants a double dose of 15ml per 1.9 liters, but somehow, they showed no signs of nute burn.

Thank you again man, i can't begin to show how much i appreciate your help, and i will be switching to the proper dose of 4ml per liter.

thanks again
