Quiting cigarette smoking with the nicotine patch

Has anyone quit smoking cigs with the nicotine patch??? They say that it is dangerous to smoke cigs while on the patch.My question is ,will smoking weed have the same dangers.Is there nicotine is weed???I dont know,but i do know that i must get off of nicotine from cigarettes.Thanx
