Hello RiU wuddup wuddup.

Anyone here reusing their soil ?
I have All mix bio bizz soil i used for 1 grow can i reuse it ?
Flushed the plants 2 to 3 times 6L each time . run off was mildly brownish like really transperent brown .
The only thing im worried about is i used fish mix and alg-a-mic in the soil which it dosnt need and my next grow is Auto critical orange punch and i heard the strain is pretty picky when it comes to Nitrogen.

Thank you all in advance for the help and great comments.

You'll get different responses. Some will say that they'd never reuse soil while others reuse soil all the time. Those that reuse soil typically re amend the soil and let it sit to cook for a while before using. Others just topdress and keep growing in it. I reuse all my soil but I re amend it. I have never had any issues so I will continue to reuse soil like many others do. Some people don't even remove the soil or the previous root ball from the soil and just do a no till grow in the same container and topdress with excellent results.

I reuse for a run, sometimes 3 total runs but usually 2 with my current medium....if it's got a ton of roots from the previous run, you can do your best to pull them out - i flip the soil upside down to get the roots from the bottom of the pot and then flip it back - that helps with loosening things up too for another run - ive also done runs where i didn't pull out any old roots and it worked fine too

and you don't have to re-amend if you don't want to - try some experiments - maybe amend 1 and not the other and have a few brand new, pull roots, don't pull roots, and see what the difference is - definitely a worthy experiment but you'll be fine overall reusing when you've only used biobizz, which ive used

I sometimes re-use soil, but I throw it in the composter first. Mix it in well with all the food scraps and break down for a few months. If I do end up using that instead of a fresh bag I add a bunch of perlite. Not an exact amount, just until it looks like enough. Soils that are predominantly compost are usually too dense, and compact even further.

Im not using dry amendments. Using bottle nutes. But yeah i always pick the roots etc from the soil. So imma go and try it and reuse the soil . Thx for the info.

That is another thing as well. Many have a yard and the room to work with used soil, make compost, etc... It can be challenging if you have a bunch of pots of used soil but no place to work with it.
good thing my girlfriend lives next door in another apartment where she has a balcony and i reused the soil to make her a new bed for tomatos , herbs and just overall plants. Even repoted a few of her root bounded room plants . I mean i could make a composter or get one but i think my neigbours wouldnt love me no more :D .

Maybe you two should put your money together and rent a house rather than living in an apartment.

My mixes have been 50% to 60% reused mix for several years, works great. Cannot imagine growing in a rental, especially an apartment.
Yeah imma use it for the next grow lets see what happens.
in my case its different . i dont have to worry about my landlord. And here where i live privacy is considerd #1 so im good on that . Plus i control the smell i dont do shit in or have hate relationships with neighbours . So yeah i was blessed with this space. :)
