Reading TDS meter?

Hello all.

I bought TDS meter. It's shows PPM and EC but it's bit confusing now. There is no usermanual in it. When i put it in my water which i am giving to plants it's shows 0076PPM and when i switch to EC it's 0154 EC.

So should i read that as 76PPM and 0.1 EC?

For example if i want to feed them with 1.5EC it should be 1500EC on that TDS meter or it's already 1.54EC on my water? I am using bottled water btw.

The safest way is to calibrate it with a known qty of TDS. Different manufacturers use different conversions. Here is a way to DIY w DI water or you can buy calibration solutions.

In the context of plant food, EC and PPM are 2 ways of measuring the same thing, but on different scales. There are actually several ways of measuring PPM too, so just go with EC.

Like you can measure temperature in Centigrade (C) or Fahrenheit (F)

Or Speed in MPH or KMPH.
