Ready for flush? Green Crack @9weeks RDWC

Yes, this could have been a GREAT harvest if they werent so airy.
I did do a 1 day flush every few weeks throughout. I think my problem was with heat. I had it @ 85 beginning of flower ( I thought this was OK with CO2) This was way to hot for them and they started to stretch. I thought dropping the lights lower would stop stretch, this just made things much worse. On top of that they were very sensitive to nute strength, so PPMs were only around 500-700 ppm most the grow. And at the very end I got a MAJOR case of root rot, which probably would not have happened if they were not so heat stressed.
Next run will be all 4 lights Blue Dream. Will keep it cooler, and keep the lights higher until later in flower. Will also be using potasium silicate through out veg to strengthen and make them more heat tolerant. Wish me luck. Next round should start tomorrow. WHAT A BUSY WEEKEND! haha

yeah it sucks keeping them cool.my electric bill during winter is 140$ and duuring summer (95+degrees) it goes to 260$ all due to a stupid little window ac unit.i use to try and get my plants as close to the light as possible but now i prefer to spred it out over more plants.use to be about 8 inchs but now about 14-18.yields increased substantially

Well, the important thing is that you got 'em chopped quick before you lost what you had; they were dyin' quick. Sadly their chrondo aesthetic apparently suffered greatly in only forty-eight hours. But now that I see the finished product, it looks like you haven't lost too much to it. Good work; even if you could've gotten more, that yield's still pretty big. You acted fast and it made all the difference, and you should really focus on the glass bein' half-full with this one. And if that's a half-full glass, then I could content myself with it just fine. Good job, mate.

that is why i will stay a soil grower.lol. but it sux to see that happen to someones plants.airy buds are not my favorite.make sure u control your temp and dont have them girls to close to the lights which is the most common reason for airy buds.did u flush atleast monthly?over or under nute???hate to say it but your yield could of been double if they filled out.
HUH? I thought buds were airy from being too far from the light, causing stretch... I'm confucked.

From what I gather: Not enough light can make her stretch, looking for more light. But also, HEAT can stress them out and make them do the same thing. And as well all know the closer your light is to the plants, the hotter your girls will be.

This is exactly how I made things go from bad to worse. I saw them stretching like crazy, and I thought if I dropped the lights closer I would stop it.....DOH!. This made things a lot worse because they were already heat stressed, now they were REALLY heat stressed. Moral of the story....Keep your girls cool enough.

Been working non stop since thurs. Finished trimming fri.... Worked on flipping the room all day yesterday and today. JUST ABOUT DONE!! Gotta finish plumbing the 6 new buckets I just added.

Picked up 12 clones today from Blue Sky in Oakland. Got 6 Blue Dream, and 6 Blue Odyssey.
Little over 3 days downtime. Rooms just about ready to hit the ground running.
Do it big, and never look back.

Nice thread! Looks like you saved a potentially bad situation.

How was Blue Sky? I will be flying into Oakland within the next 10 days specifically to pick up some clones there and visit harbor side.
Did you have to get there super early, and did they have good pickings for clones?

Blue sky is cool. In my experience they usually have good clones. One time I got 2 that were not rooted yet, but the other two times I have gotten good strong clones.
I got there a half hour before they opened and was second person there. By the time they opened there were probably 10 of us. They quite a few clones but Im not sure if they sell out or not. All three times I have been there before they opened in the morn just to play it safe.
Harborside usually has a good amount of clones as well. I have never gotten bad clones from Harborside. Would recommend either.
