I'd wait a bit longer, mine are probably at your stage too, might give mine another 2-3 weeks, give the buds chance to fatten up a bit.

Thanks shynee - worried about the weather a bit tho, might be getting our first frost soon, and can't really cover it up (too conspicuous with neighbours and such). Also can't bring her inside cause of the kids. Will keep an eye on the weather, but she may need to be chopped early which would be a shame!

From some reading, it looks like a light frost can be tolerated, in which case - nothing to worry about.

I have about a week or so left if this gives you guys a clue. You see how the hairs are still sticking out. You want the bud to swell and suck them in then it will be ready.

The flavors will be a subtle difference. The flavor comes out in the cure. The yield is what I'm after. The last 2 weeks is when it swells and gets denser. Potency is higher when the trichomes are harvested earlier. But you have to figure out what type of buzz do you want. Harvest your plant in stages and you will figure out what buzz your after. Harvest the top nug then wait a week then harvest the middle of the plant. Wait another couple days then harvest the lowers. Each one will yield a different buzz.

Thanks for that info.. clears all this up rather nicely. Will you post another photo of this beauty right before you chop puffntuff?
