He actually doesnt deserve rep as after those bombs being found in the mail in an airport the other day he has no chance sending it through, even in the first place he didnt!

They can detect if its not a solid candle as it would show up different colours and consistencies on the x-ray screen!

Same way they can detect stuff hidden between or behind any other object like a picture frame or a video casesette tape.

Camo is the key after you vacum seal it. Scanners are preprogrammed to pick up all sorts of stuffed electronics and not so random occurrences. A real good one is to grab an old walkman (cassette type) and stuff the cartridge compartment with a vacum sealed package that has been wrapped in carbon paper. The old technology (walkman) won't be a pre-programmed alogrithm on the scanner and the carbon paper shows up as a black block just as a casette tape would. Don't ask me how I know this...

Oh and send it regular post (bogus return address) and tell your buddy to pack everything while wearing rubber gloves

first, familiarize yourself with the customs list for both countries. for all you know candles or teddy bears might have to be "declared" to be sent out of peru. some objects may just put up a red flag without your realizing it. second, have the sender misspell your name and or address by JUST A BIT. for example ron might be spelled run or something to that effect. you want the package to still get to the destination but still give yourself an out by being able to say "that's not even me. who the hell is run?". as far as stealth, i would ask an ex prisoner or something. they have fucking ingenious ways to hide drugs in letters and shit.

even especially after what happened a few days ago with those packages from yemen to chicago to kill some jewish folks..how fucked up is that? security will probably be even tighter than ever right now..especially with a package coming from peru with no return info on it and if you use some foil, it will show up on the x ray machine as a dark area and they definitely will be suspicious. but why not have him send you a sweater or some jeans and put it in a wallet or have it in the pocket in a baggie. they might just take the baggy and say it was confiscated and give you your pants. but it could probably work, you just need to be crafty and use common sense about this....
