Recovering fraudulent or abused unemployment insurance?

Yep as usual you wing nuts prove yourselves incapable of creative input and conversation. I wouldn't expect Buck to say anything positive simply because it's difficult with a fat hog in his mouth.
No Americans should ever have to deal with food insecurity or the ability to find quality housing.
For such intelligent people I am a bit perplexed that we shouldn't pursue individuals fraudulently making claims or illegally draining the system. I worked from day one of the pandemic because I was obligated as a essential worker. Oh well I guess. Do any of your states have a higher minimum wage then we do in Ma? I doubt it. I'm pro choice and outraged at the actions of Texas and the Supreme Court. I support gun control. I don't eat seafood because of the beating we are giving the biomass of the seas. You can't find a right wing position I support. I guess i was interested in how we deal with so much pandemic fraud but I apparently thought recovering lost monies was not the sole interest of the left or right wing. Good luck with living wages. We could get lucky because I'm sure many of you are willing to pay to make that happen

I am pro choice and anti gun control. Once we have aligned on core issues, then forward motion is possible.

Do you mean Trump's slush fund in the 2020 pandemic bill? Because the small number of people getting fraudulent UE benefits doesn't come close to the fraud that was a result of that.

After reading your post, it seems you are mostly harmless after all.

It's ok if you harbor a false belief that we can't do both -- deal with the large issues of the day such as climate change while going after known welfare cheats. We can do both. But I'm ok with you supporting efforts to reduce carbon emissions while you decry a non-issue. I'm OK with that. I'm for progress.

Official figures of the prevalence of welfare fraud based on government investigation tend to be low – a few percent of the total amount of welfare spending.

Yep, cheats and frauds benefitting from welfare fraud gets them hot.

Meanwhile, the DOD can't even say how much they spent, much less how much fraud occurred last year.

Trump's administration did not keep track of how much Trump Inc. benefitted from Trump being president.

But, my oh my, we do a great job of tracking how much money goes to poor people. I'd bet good money that the idiot complaining about welfare fraud doesn't even know that the amount of fraud is not only tracked but cheats are prosecuted and the department does a good job of mininimizing it.

Then again, Trump did get a very large and tangible benefit when Chinese government granted his company trademark protection status. Something that had been languishing for years but presto changeo, six weeks into his term of office and Trump Inc got protection he didn't even need.

I wonder if the idiot even cares about that?

it would cost more to track down and prosecute the small amount of welfare fraud, than the amount lost to fraud ....it's a net-loss

The fraudulent part of "welfare" is it's portrayed as charity, when's it's actually forcible redistribution of other peoples property with or without their consent.

It's a net loss of the actual meanings of words.
