I am thinking next month to do a side by side with same clones. One in FFOF and the other in Roots Organic soil. I used to use FFOF religiously until someone suggested the Roots Organic Soil. FFOF costs me about 10-15 USD more per bag of the same size so Roots Organic is already in the lead. I would like to see if there's an actual difference in the mediums and how long each clone can go without the need for nutrients. In doing so, I would start a new journal for that test grow.
Let me know when you start journal. I also use ffof and would like to change it up

I am already liking the Roots Organic soil. Not as hot as FFOF as it seems. Still enough nutrients to get a few weeks with no need to feed. All my current plants are in the Roots Organic besides my furthest along flowerers. Everything else in flower and veg are in Roots. I honestly wouldnt expect to see much a difference in a side by side but I am still going to rock with one just to see.

Mediums and Nutrients:

I have recently switched from Fox Farms Ocean Forest over to Roots Organic Soil and used GH's Flora Series and GH Cal-mag

Water-feed-water-feed.

Solo Cup-1 gallon-5 gallon Final Pot
Ya know roots makes really great organic liquid as well thats imo better then the gh regiment... also wont leave your soil full of residual salt build up at the end, not knocking the gh either as i used this when i was growing hydro but for soil i like the organic inputs and a nice living medium for my ladies to thrive in...

Since I live in a 4 season year...but lately it's either super hot or super cold, no in-between, I am planning on building my soil next grow to see how I like my hand at organics. I only using the GH line as I had almost full bottles and just waiting to get finished with this grow before I move on to something next. I appreciate the input, I'll have to look into those as well.

Honestly, just trying to help however I can. I see alot of new growers trying to learn only to be turned away by the not so helpful here. We all started somewhere and we all grow differently. Just helping to get that member the best outcome possible from their grow. Glad to be apart of the community and really start getting some work in. I got a few journals planned for comparatives and such. A few other ideas to help newer growers as well.
