ok now this is my last try at growing i have had no success yet but hoping things will change

i have a room 4m wide 2.3m long and 2.5m high

air
i have a 130 watt centrefugal fan with a carbon filter outside my grow room pumping air into the window and a extractor on the other side of the room into the roof these will turn on 15 mins every 2 hours plus a oscallating fan on 24/7

light
i have 2 600watt hps and 100watt flouro the flouro will be for veg and hps for flowering

water
i will use normal tap water left to stand for 3 days with the ph adjusted to 6.5

nutes
i will use canna vega and canna flora nutes a and b these are for hydro but i figure i can use for soil

soil
normal tomato soil

pots
will use the bags the soil comes in so prob 22liter or something

strain not to sure please help me with the strain good for a beginner but with big yields yields are more important than quality

also how much and how often do i use of the nutes? please help as if these die i will stop growing and realy dont want to stop

hey, keep your head up, you can make this work.

a couple of basics - get light, soil, water, nutes right and you are sure to get a decent yield. anything else is just a bonus.

light - you're set
soil - you need to add some perlite to your soil to improve drainage. also, you need the water to drain out of the bottom, so you're better off with pots with holes in them.
water - water very lightly until the plants are a couple of weeks old. then switch to demand watering where you thoroughly water, enough for water to be flowing out of the bottom of the pots. wait until the top inch or so of soil is dry and then water again. you;ll end up watering every few days.
nutes - nothing for the first two weeks, then half the recommended strength, building up slowly to full strength. fertilizer every week or so. switch to a bloom fertilizer when you flower.

the trouble you've had before is probably due to not doing one or more of the above list. the most common problem is overwatering and overfeeding.

good luck

thanks for the help so aslong as i stick to that then i should be coolio?
how much perlite to soil mix?
would it work if i stabbed holes in the bottom of the bag? pots are just so expensive. iv got 10liter buckets i used last time but they were a lil to small
what do u mean fertilizer. thought u used that or nutes? what type of fertilizer?
and any preference to strain?

well i use 3-5gallon buckets with holes drilled in the bottom.. if you could get some of those it would be great.. but i wouldn't recomend bags because they may bust if you put holes in the bottom of them.. also you want the option to move them..

25% to 33% perlite.

nutes = fertilizer

your other questions - one gallon of pot for each foot of plant you want - so five feet if the variety grows that large.

most inexpensive ph meters don't need calibrating and you don't have to be very precise anyway so no point in the more expensive meters. if you already have one that needs calibrating, a cheap and dirty way is to use distilled water which has a ph of 7.

awesome thanks. yer all i need is a cheap way to calabrate it il get the solutions before i start my new grow but just wanna check my soil ph of the plants that died. ok 5 foot sounds pretty good then il go with that
and yer sorry read the fertilizer thing again and i was like oooo lol
so i use a little bit more perlite than soil?
how do you feel about bigbud for a beginner? thinking of getting it of
cannabise seed bank and il get a free pack of power skunk aswell

ok well i didnt have any distilled water but im pretty sure are tap water is a perfect 7.0 so put that in and then tested the old run off from the soil its at 5 i think i realised why they died.... how do i bring it up to the magical 6.5-6.8?
