Regrowing a plant

I have a plant I'd like to reveg and try to grow again. I know cloning is the perferred method for growing the same meds over and over again. I did take clones before the plant went into flower, but this plant does not like cloneing, or I dont know what Im doing. Anyways I live in a med state so Im not to worried about growing a plant in the backyard. Spring is just around the corner, Im starting to harvest, so insted of just cutting it down, Id like to just trim it so it will reveg and flower again. What would be the best way to prune so it will reveg? I know it will take time to regrow, but it will be outside and sunlight is free, I can wait all summer.

It will take the plant about a month to convert back to the vegg state. The key thing to re-vegging is make sure you keep as many leaves on it as possible after harvest. The yield will not be as much as the first time, but it is possible.

wait so after you harvest the buds, you can veg it again and go another round?

Thanks for the input. Im going to just leave them in the backyard all spring and summer. If they ( 2 ) grow back Ill take more cuts for my indoor garden.

If you're outdoors, you'll have problems as the plants won't re-veg in the winter. If you're inside, I would recommend re-vegging vs. using clones. The yield is actually higher each successive time. Depending on how bushy and how big you want your plant, leave some buds at the bottom of the plant. The bud sites will produce 3 - 6 branches each (in my experience). For my girls, it takes 5 weeks from harvest to re-flowering - much faster than you can go from clone trimming to flowering.

Once again Thanks for the help. I live in sunny So. Cal and winter is almost over. This is just an experiment to see what happens. I have some clones frome these plants rooting now. I also have 1 clone that I saved for a mother, and Ive got 3 in the flower garden that are about 3 weeks from harvest. I should be able to keep the strain going but it takes a long time to clone this plant, about 4 weeks last time, so If I can reveg for more clones, the more the merrier. Once again THANKS.
