Reliability and Value of Chillers

I've been looking into maybe getting a chiller as I prepare for an RDWC run with ~100 gallons. I found a 1/4 HP, or maybe 1/3 HP (seller says it's a DBM-250, but also says 1/4 HP, so IDK) Arctica chiller on CL for $350, but I have no way of knowing what this thing is worth. I see that 'new' it goes for over $800, but I don't know how much this unit has been used, and is this brand known for reliable units working for 5, 10+ years. What's this thing worth, and can anyone point me in the direction of a chiller brand that has a good reputation? Thanks!

The active aqua on Amazon are really not bad at all. But a 1/4hp arctic for 300 or so isn't bad at all either.... I'd say go look at it, and check him in person to ask how much it's been used. Bring a screwdriver and open the thing up and check how much dust is inside. If you're paying that kind of cash, he should haven't problem with it.

I'll definitely do that, thanks. I said I'd meet with him in two days, giving myself some more time to gather info. I'm not real mechanically inclined, but hopefully I can get a pretty good idea of the condition at a glance. He says it's in good condition, and works well, so we'll see.
