Vero29C at 70 watts is probably around 50% par efficient. Same with CXM22 at 50 watts. Citizen 1825s are 60% efficient at 50 watts. Vero 29C at 45 watts is around 56% efficient. Those were the combinations I came up with a few years ago. Par wattage = #cobs * wattage * efficiency. If you know the efficiency and output of your bulb you can compare. 600w HPS will put out around 240-250 par watts at 40-42% efficiency.

I did it INstalled and up and running , currently at 450w for veg

You should look at the chip itself the new Evo line is a small revolution is designed specifically for plants and has different frequency photon pump than the general lights (everything including LM301B and LM301H)

Check out the colossus. Can control the spectrum as well

Apparently Samsung partnered with a Korean University to test the wavelength here is the study

TLDR version:
Not only is LED lighting more effective and durable, but its greatest advantage is that we are able to specifically engineer its spectrum to optimize plant growth. Our experiment showed that the LM301H EVO series, which uses the shorter wavelength plant-centric spectrum, promotes higher physical and qualitative growth than normal white LEDs or combinations of blue and red LEDs. The plants grown under the plant-centric light spectrum had bigger and thicker leaves and had higher levels of nutrients

My point being that instead of the PPFD porn we might get lights that are actually designed to grow things

My plants are very happy indeed. What I love most about the thing is the wide spread. It's covering 4x6 very easily. with active growth right to the edges.

Little update. Harvesting. Day 2 so far. (I do a few hours each evening).

Holy fucking shit! I've grown big buds, but not like this! And, they matured in 7 weeks from flip. Same seeds, 10 weeks under HPS. I noticed this before even under blurples.

Won't know the final weight for a godo two weeks but so far, it looks like the light has paid for itself easily!

Well well! I've just weighed up. Typical yields for me are anywhere from 11.5 to 15oz.

I juist pulled 20.7oz dry bud

Lamp paid for itself on the 1st use!

Any 480w+ bar light rated at 2.5umol/j or higher will flower a 4x4 space more than sufficiently. I’ve got a mars fce4800 and a 480w samphon in my 8x4 both perform near identically the samphon was only $285 on Amazon too

Yeah - that was lighting 4x6 space, with two plants out of the race as they were stunted due to a failed older mars LED. Going to be very interesting to see how it goes with all 6 plants in full godo health

The Mars was of course pricey, but I wanted instant guaranteed results, I asked for advice, and it was given The 5 year warranty is the main attraction for me - I've worked with LEDs a-plenty...and they certainly fail over time. (plus the LED "bunching" a the ends to give a very even light spread..

Those Samphon's do look like a great deal over in the USA but are similar priced to Mars once you get them over here to the UK.

Well, for thread closure, my above crop on this new Mars Light setup pulled in 19oz White Widow. On my 600HPS best I ever pulled was 15 oz ish.

Last one, above, was 19 oz.

Today, final crop for a while (packing it in for the forseable), I pulled... 24oz - N13 Kush!

Christ the light paid for itself!

4x8 tent with 4x5 ish actually used for plants. 6 x RWDC pots. One plant in each.
