Repti-Glo 5.0 UVB

I have a Iguana and hes has grown through out the years leaving me with alot of light fixtures and his Repti-Glo 5.0 UVB Flouresent lights. I was Wondering Because i have TONS of these if i could use them for growing?

People are claiming they help produce resin, although I have yet to see proof. I'd like to see a discussion though; subscribed.

You can use them to supplement other lights, but probably won't get the job done by themselves. Like l3ored says, there is some evidence that it can increase resin production when used during flowering. its called trichrome production, resin is the black sticky stuff you get as leftovers

Theres quite alot of info on uvb radiation. thanks to few members on this forum.. i have lots of uv in my biotropic bulbs for my T5 grow light.. check my thread for pics
