There should not be "Sides" we should all act as a cohesive unit to bring about change. When politicians are in front of the Cameras they completely pander and lie to the citizens and pretend that partisan politics is the only way to make it work. Behind the scenes the dems are having supper with the repubs and they are all great friends who know its all just an act in front of the camera, they are cut from the same cloth.Besides the politicians don't run the country, they only act as the middle man, the big "Money Trust" are the ones who run the country.
FWIW I am not a republican, but I will defend anyone who is inaccurately labeled. You do not know with any accuracy what the political affiliation is for any single person in that town hall, the gal in the wheelchair could very well be a republican and being berated by democrats, you can't prove otherwise.
I completely agree with you on all your points in this post.
Political parties in *actual* politics are a farce. It's all part of the show.
There was a South Park rerun on last night... the one where Cartman goes back in time to 1776 to see what the founding fathers would have thought about the war in Iraq.
He comes back and tells everyone that the founding fathers realized we needed people who were FOR the war, and people who were against the war, so that other countries wouldn't think we were all a bunch of warmongers. We can go to war, and at the same time we can PROTEST going to war.
I know it's just a cartoon, but the moral of the story rings kind of true, doesn't it?
